1. God had a plan for Jacob, but his boy’s sin changed that plan, his own stubbornness delayed that plan, and natural disaster changed that plan.

2. God had a plan for Adam and Eve, but their sin changed that plan.

3. God has a plan for us, but our sin or others sin, or disaster, or something else changes that plan, but not God’s plan for us.
