� ICT PSP Main Theme addressed:
� 1.4: ICT for ageing well with cognitive problems, combining assistive and independent living technologies
� As the elderly population across Europe increases, several concerns over the care and service given to these individuals have been brought to light.
� 30-month project under the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme.
� Goal is to support the growing elderly population in Europe and their families through extensive use of technology and clinical research.
� Integrated ICT platform which combines cognitive activity against cognitive decline with physical activity within the framework of an assisted living environment.
� Will utilize remotely operated screens embedded in the independent living environment and connected to training equipment (such as recumbent bikes, ergometers or treadmills.)

General overview (2)
� Long Lasting Memories (LLM) is an integrated ICT platform, which:� combines state-of-the-art cognitive exercises against
cognitive decline� with physical activity in the framework of an advanced
ambient assisted living environment.
� LLM will offer support to elderly people and their relatives and families, by� monitoring of day-to-day activities of senior citizens and
identifying imminent hazards, � increasing their self-esteem and alleviate symptoms
relevant to cognitive decline, their loneliness and potential depression.
