    OVERVIEW ON THE 2010 COMMONWEALTH GAMES IN INDIA

    With the Commonwealth Games over, the sporting excitement should not be over. From November

    12th to 27th the Asian Games will be going on in Guangzhou, China. The Guangzhou Asian Games

    will have 45 participants in 42 sporting events.Learn more about the 2010 Asian GamesThe Commonwealth Games kicked off on the 3rd of October and ended on the 14th of October.Australia Commonwealth Team leads the medal chart with over 177 medals and host India followedwith 101 medals. Australia became the title holder for the 13th time. There were 71 nations competingin 17 sports, in 260 events. The number of medals awarded were 272 gold, 274 silvers and 282 bronze.6000 athletes from all the continents went to Delhi to fight fo the for glory. The medal tables arearranged, overall medal table, then continental and regions. I usually call Commonwealth Games, a

    miniature Olympics games.In the 2010 Commonwealth Games held in India, a total of 828 medals were awarded and the Asiannations which will participate in the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China won 237 medals. We hopeto see similar performance in the XVI Asiad.
