Explore the Tastes of Texas
When folks think of Texas and food,
first thoughts might turn to chuck
wagons and chili on the open range.
And while we take immense pride in our
native cuisine, by no means does it begin
to cover the full extent of Metroplex
dining. The Irving area offers a wide
selection of ethnic dining, along with
theme restaurants that provide as much
show as they do dinner, and plenty
of places for hometown favorites and
comfort food in between.

Truly Texas
No matter what your vision of Texas is, you’ll find more than meets the eye
with this unique itinerary – from trail rides and cattle drives to Western art
and campfire cooking – it’s everything you want Texas to be! Our itineraries
are flexible and can easily be packaged to suit your particular needs,
interests or days of the week.
Day 1Your day starts at the spectacular
Mustangs of Las Colinas, the world’s
largest equestrian sculpture. After a
group picture in front of this majestic
backdrop, you’ll head to lunch at the Cellar
Restaurant and Bar on the Mandalay Canal.
Next, it’s time for a look at a different kind
of cowboy with a tour of AT&T Stadium,
home of the Dallas Cowboys. With seating
for 80,000, a retractable roof and a
construction cost of over $1 billion, this
incredible sports landmark is one of the
most expensive sports venues in the world!
There’ll also be plenty of time to shop the
largest selection of Cowboys memorabilia
at the Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop. Finish
the day with a serenade at sunset from
a singing cowboy as your group enjoys
hayrides, horseback riding and a campfire
cookout at Circle R Ranch.
Day 2Today starts with a hearty breakfast at
the Mama’s Daughters’ Diner, then into
downtown Dallas for a close-up look at
Texas history. The Sixth Floor Museum
offers the permanent educational exhibition
of the life, death and legacy of President
John F. Kennedy and features nearly 400
historic photographs and artifacts. En route
to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science,
there’s time for a quick photo opportunity
at Pioneer Plaza, a sculpture re-creation
of an Old West cattle drive. Shoppers will
enjoy the next stop at Neiman Marcus
flagship store. Dallas Heritage Village is
the next attraction, with 37 restored historic
homes, buildings and shops providing a
step back to the 19th century. Then it’s back
to your hotel for a break before heading out
to dinner at Cool River Cafe or The Ranch,
two of the area’s best places for local
flavor and live music!
Day 3Head west today for a mix of Texas fun in
Fort Worth! Enjoy breakfast in the unique
setting of the Fort Worth Zoo’s Texas Wild!
Exhibit. Then it’s off to the Amon Carter
Museum and the Sid Richardson Collection
of Western Art, to explore a different sort
of cowboy culture. Lunch at the legendary
Joe T. Garcia’s will give everyone a taste
of the spicy side of Texas. Then spend
the afternoon wandering the shops of
the Stockyards National Historic District,
before line-dancing lessons at Billy Bob’s.
Don’t forget to catch the daily cattle drive
to and from the Stockyards. Dinner will
be at the Cattlemen’s Restaurant, and
spend the evening afterwards exploring the
Stockyards nightlife, including a rodeo.
Day 4You might think only of Country and
Western music when you think of Texas,
but we’ve got a lot more too. And there’s
no better way to enjoy it than a brunch
at one of Irving’s premier hotels or
restaurants before you head home. If
your day allows more time, you might
consider a Winemaker’s Brunch at the
Delaney Vineyards, or spend the afternoon
shopping at the Texas-sized Grapevine
Mills Outlet Mall offering Texas-sized
values and more than 2 million square feet
of “shoppertainment!”

Shop ’til You Drop
We brag about how everything is bigger in Texas, but a shopping itinerary
through Dallas/Fort Worth really proves the point! Whether you prefer tracking
down bargains, reveling in haute couture or just shopping until you drop, Irving
makes it easy for you to do it all. We can also recommend local shopping
experts to serve as your tour guides, to give your groups a truly VIP experience.
Day 1We’ll start at the biggest of them all, giving
you all day to enjoy Grapevine Mills Outlet
Mall. With more than 2 million square feet
of “shoppertainment,” your guests can
enjoy familiar names such as Saks Fifth
Avenue OFF 5th, Neiman Marcus Last Call
