Maggie is married to Jaime, a 22 year veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a recently retired law enforcement officer. Maggie went to law school in 1994. She graduated from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 1997 and became licensed in Texas the same year. Her first professional job was as an Assistant County Attorney, Starr County, Texas.Maggie and Jaime chose to live in Fort Bend County and call it home. They bought a home in Sugar Land and became parishioners at Saint Laurence Parish.In 1998, she started her own law office and became a successful solo practitioner. In her 18 years of law practice, she handled family and criminal matters, felonies, misdemeanors, juvenile cases, probate and civil matters. She also taught part time as an Adjunct Professor at Thurgood Marshall School of Law for 3 years. In 2009 she was the President of the Fort Bend County Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association. In 2009, the family moved to Richmond, Texas, where they currently reside. On October 22, 2014, Governor Rick Perry appointed her as Judge of the 400th Judicial Court. She was then elected on November 8, 2016. Since her tenure as Judge, Maggie has hit the ground running. She presides over 1,350 criminal cases and 1,357 civil cases. She has signed numerous warrants for arrest, search and seizure. She has a strong passion for the job and has been working feverishly for the people of Fort Bend County.
