1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia

• “Every citizen enjoys equal status before the law and in government, and is obliged to uphold them without exception”

• “Every citizen shall have the right to employment and to conditions of life commensurate with human dignity”.

• Agrarian Law of 1960 : indicator on Gender Equality and the Knowledge Society in Indonesia guarantees the right of women to own land.

• Broad Guidelines of State Policy (GBHN) in 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993 and 1999 : provide the basis for policy formulation and planning for national development, and emphasized the improvement of the role and status of women in the family and society in order to achieve gender equality and equity.

• Gender Mainstreaming has been adopted since the issuance of Presidential Instruction
