GEMS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF PEARL CITY, PENANG (GIP)
During week beginning Monday April 18 the ASA programme got off to a great start with many happy and expectant students streaming to all parts of the school campus to participate in a range of activities from Chess to Taekwondo and Badminton to Ukulele club! Next academic year the ASA programme will expand to accommodate even more sports and intellectually challenging activities.
After school activities began with a bang
A Brilliant Book Week!
Book week began with an entertaining assembly fronted by Ms Alise and Mr Mundy who did a skit on why books are so important to us. Through the week students are working on a number of book and reading related activities in the curriculum and participating in number of competitions including 'guess the staff mem-ber behind the book'.
A book sale was held in the parent area and the grande finale was a great parade of students and staff dressed as their favourite book characters leading to an assembly where book prizes were awarded to the competi-tion winners will be joining us in September as a result!
