MPL Mechanical CouplerCompact yet robust and proven design. Screw type to secure and release the

attachment. Variable pin centers for greater flexibility. Best fit to OEM Specs.

Reversibility is standard. Available for 1-8 ton excavators.

Hydraulic / Manual Coupler

Tilt Rotating Coupler

Available in Hydraulic and Mechanical versions, this is the most popular model

of the Geith couplers. Variable pin centre design allows you to easily pick up and

swap the widest range of OEM attachments. Manual option is available for 1-30 ton

excavators while the Hydraulic is available for 2-85 ton excavators.

Increase your flexibility using the best of both world technologies: the rotating

mechanism from a leading maunfacturer along with the Geith Coupler. Rotate 360°

QR Mechanical Coupler

Dramatically increase your productivity using the best of both world technologies:

the PowerTilt® from Helac and the Geith Quick Coupler. Tilt your bucket or any

attachment up to 180° with peace of mind. Available for 6-26 ton excavators.

Increase efficiency and productivity of your mini excavator with a mechanical

coupler which is easy maintenance and user friendly. Single visit quick-coupler

including visual and strong audible lock indicators. Picks up fixed center attachments.

Measure Machine Pin Size

Measure the Attachment Range

What Machine would you like to fit a quick coupler to? What is the pin diameter of that Machine?To find this out you can measure the diameter of your excavator machine pin size as per illustration.

Measure the pin centres of all the attachments of the same pin diameter that you want to use.Measurement should be taken from center of the link pin to center of the dipper pin on attachments. You may have attachments with a different range of pin centres that the coupler can pick up. Geith can accomodate a wide range of pin centres.

Choose Coupler Mechanism

Measure the pin diameter of the attachemnts that you are picking up. It may be the same size as your machine pin size but it also can be different.

Geith can support different pin sizes with mix - match Couplers.

Would you prefer a mechanical or hydraulic quick coupler? (M=mechanical, H=hydraulic)

NB: Some Mechanical couplers can be turned into to Hydraulic configuration by replacing two parts on the coupler, should you wish to upgrade at a later stage.

Terminology

Applications:

TerminologyStruck Capacity The struck capacity of a bucket is rated on the inside physical dimensions of the bucket only. There are no provi-sions taken for optional side cutters, spill guards, teeth, and other accessories.

Heaped Capacity (SAE)

SAE Heaped or Rated Capacity is a standard measurement to calculate the amount of material carried by a bucket including the amount piled on top of it. The amount of material piled on top of the bucket, (heap), is determined by the angle of repose of the material being handled. The Society for Automotive Engineers, SAE, determined the measurement of 1:1 for Excavator buckets to allow bucket rating comparison and creating a Standard.

Bucket Width

The bucket width is the width of the bucket measured the extremities of the cuttingedge. In general, the wider the bucket, the lighter is the material used or the application is less severe. The narrower the bucket the harder the application/material can be.

Tip Radius

The tip radius is the distance between the tip of the tooth and the center of the arm pin. A Lower Tip Radius improves digging performance.

Material Density & Fill Factor Note: Density and bucket fill factor may vary and are for indication purposes only.

Pin CentresPin centres is the distance between the arm pin and the bucket link pin. The distance effects the breakout force and curl speed.

1. GENERAL. The Terms and Conditions of sale outlined herein (hereinafter referred to as the “Contract”) shall apply to the sale by Geith International Limited or Geith International UK Limited (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) to the person, firm or company to whom the Company’s offer is made (hereinafter referred to as the “Purchaser”) of products, equipment and parts relating thereto (hereinafter referred to as the “Equipment”). Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Company, it shall be understood that the Company proceeding with any work shall be in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined herein. These terms and conditions shall prevail over any terms put forward by the purchaser, unless the company agrees to them expressly in writing. No conduct by the company shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of any terms put forward by the purchaser. The Company shall be en-titled at its sole discretion to accept or reject an order. Orders may be cancelled only with the Company’s written consent. The Company reserves the right to refuse such cancellation of all or part of an order and in the event of cancellation the Purchaser shall indemnify the Company against all commitments, liability and expenditure incurred in connection with the order.

2. PRICE, TERMS OF PAYMENT AND INVOICING. Unless otherwise agreed between the parties, the Terms of Payment are net cash within thirty days of invoice date. Unless otherwise agreed, all prices shall be EX WORKS prices ruling at the date of dispatch. Nothing in the Contract shall affect the statutory rights of a consumer. The Company reserves the right to charge interest at 7% over the European Central Bank rate in accordance with EC Directive 2000/35/EU, from time to time, on all overdue accounts. Such interest shall automatically accrue on a day to day basis. If payment is agreed to be made by installments, in the event of default in payment of any one installment, all other sums payable under the Contract shall become due. Any error of any kind whatsoever in any invoice of the Company shall be notified to the Company within seven (7) days of receipt of such invoice by the Purchaser. Failure to notify as herein required shall mean that the Purchaser is deemed to accept that the invoice is correct in all respects.

3. TITLE. (a) Until payment in full has been made of all sums due to the Company under the Contract (or in the case of the Company accepting any cheque, bill of exchange or promissory note, until the same has been honoured) the title in the Equip-ment supplied by the Company, even if affixed to other goods of the Purchaser or a third party, shall remain in the Company. (b) The Purchaser shall be at liberty to sell the Equipment as principal in the ordinary course of business. However, the pro-ceeds of any such sale and the benefit of any such contract of sale shall be the property of the Company and held in trust for the Company absolutely, provided however, that the Company may by written notice terminate the Purchaser’s power of sale at any time if it appears to the Company that the Purchaser may go or threatens to go into receivership or liquidation and at any time after the termination of the power of sale, the Company may repossess the Equipment. If necessary the Company shall have the right to enter onto the Purchaser’s premises to recover the Equipment or any part of it.

4. RISK. Notwithstanding that the title in the Equipment may not have passed to the Purchaser as provided in Section 2 here-of, the risk in the Equipment shall pass to the Purchaser at the time of first tender of delivery EX WORKS to the Purchaser, its agent or carrier. In the event of any shortages, defects, damage or other errors whatsoever in the Equipment existing at the time of delivery, they shall be notified to the Company within two (2) days after delivery of the Equipment in accordance with Section 6 hereof. Strict compliance with this requirement is a condition precedent to the Company being liable in accordance herewith.

5. ASSIGNMENT. Neither party shall assign or transfer this Contract without the prior written consent of the other party, except that the Company may assign or transfer the Contract for the purposes of internal reorganization. The Company shall, in addition however, be permitted to assign or transfer without the prior written consent of the Purchaser, the Compa-ny’s right to receive all or any portion of the payment due from the Purchaser under the Contract.

6. DELIVERY AND DELAYS. Delivery dates shall be quoted by the Company. Such dates shall be interpreted as estimated only and in no event shall they be subject to strict compliance

or be construed as falling within the meaning of “time of the essence” or any similar concept. If the Purchaser fails to take delivery of the Equipment or fails to give adequate delivery instructions, the Company at its sole discretion will store the Equipment until actual delivery and charge the Purchaser reasonable costs incurred (including insurance). Without prej-udice, the Company shall not be liable for loss, damage, deten-tion or delay due to war, riots, civil insurrection or acts of the common enemy, acts of terrorism, fire, flood, strikes or other labour difficulties, including at the Company’s own plants, acts or omissions of the Purchaser, embargo, transport shortage, damage or delay in transportation, inability to obtain necessary labour or materials from usual sources, faulty forgings or cast-ings or other causes whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of the Company. In the event of delay in performance due to any such cause, the date of delivery or time for completion will be adjusted to reflect the actual length of time lost by reason of such delay. The Purchaser’s acceptance of Equipment shall constitute a waiver of any claims for delay.

7. TAXES. All prices are exclusive of taxes (including without limitation any value added sales or similar tax), port rates, transportation, insurance, custom dues, licence fees or other charges.

8. SET OFFS. Neither the Purchaser nor any affiliated compa-ny or assignee shall have the right to claim compensation or to set off any claims against any amounts which become payable to the Company under the Contract or otherwise.

9. PATENTS. The Company shall defend any action or proceeding brought against the Purchaser and shall pay any adverse judgement entered therein so far as such action or proceeding is based upon a claim that the use of the Equipment thereof manufactured by the Company and furnished under the Contract constitutes infringement of any patent of a country where the Equipment is sold, or of a country where the Company is aware at the date of the sale that the Equipment will be used, provided that the Company is promptly notified in writing and given authority, information and assistance for de-fence of the same, and the Company shall, at its option, procure for the Purchaser the right to continue to use the Equipment, or modify it so that it becomes non-infringing, or replace the same with non-infringing Equipment, or remove the Equip-ment and refund the purchase price. The foregoing shall not be construed to include any agreement by the Company to accept any liability whatsoever in respect of patents for inventions including more than the Equipment furnished hereunder, or in respect of patents for methods and processes to be carried out with the aid of the Equipment. The foregoing states the entire liability of the Company with regard to patent infringement which is limited by Section 11 hereof.

10. WARRANTY. Unless a longer warranty period is agreed to in writing by the Company, the Company warrants the Equipment (except for parts and hose assemblies) sold by it to the Purchaser to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of shipment or 2000 hours of use, whichever first occurs unless formal documentation can be produced when the product has been put into use. A period of six (6) months shelf life will be accepted on all products. Any product not put into use before the six (6) months stocking and twelve (12) warranty period will forfeit any warranty given on the product. The Geith generic installation/hose assemblies will be covered for a period of six (6) months from the date of shipment (installation kit covered only in Europe). The appli-cable warranty time period for parts shall be six (6) months from the date of shipment and for reconditioned parts or products shall be three (3) months from the date of shipment. At the discretion of the company a longer thirty six (36) month warranty period may be offered to selected customers. This warranty period only covers the frame/chassis of the product and excludes all other components attached to the frame/chassis. The Company will provide a new part or repaired part, at its election, in place of any part which is found upon its in-spection to be defective in material or workmanship during the periods described above. Such part will be repaired or replaced without charge to the Purchaser providing the warranty cost does not exceed the standard cost which has been set out by the company in the standard cost table (this cost is available upon request). The company will accept maximum warranty costs not exceeding the original sale value. The replacement or repair must be carried out during normal working hours at the place of business of a distributor of the Company authorised to sell the type of Equipment involved or other establishment

authorized by the Company. The purchaser must report failures within a maximum time of 30 days of occurrence and file a warranty claim within a maximum of 30 days thereafter. War-ranty claims outside this period of time will forfeit the warranty cover. Purchaser must present proof of purchase (and purchase date) at the time of making a claim under this warranty. Warranty claims do not apply to failures occurring as a result of abuse, misuse, negligent repairs, corrosion, erosion, normal wear and tear, alterations or modifications (which includes use of non Geith control systems) made to the Equipment without express written consent of the Company, or failure to follow the recommended operating practices, or service and mainte-nance procedures as provided in the Equipment’s operating and maintenance publications. All maintenance, service and repair work must be completed by an authorised Company distributor or establishment and only genuine Company parts shall be used in such work. Failure to comply strictly with these requirements shall invalidate this warranty. The warranty provided herein does not apply to any components which are not supplied by the company (this includes engines, hydraulic systems, boom, dipper, etc.) which are manufactured by others as they are warranted by their respective manufacturers directly to the Purchaser. The company disclaims and excludes all other conditions, warranties or representations of all kinds, express or implied, statutory or otherwise (except that of title), including all implied warranties and conditions relating to merchantability, satisfactory quality and fitness for a particular purpose. Corrections by the Company of nonconformities whether patent or latent, in the manner and for the period of time provided above shall constitute fulfillment of all liabilities of the Company for such nonconformities, whether based on contract, warranty, tort, negligence, indemnity, strict liability or otherwise with respect to or arising out of such Equipment.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. The remedies of the purchaser set forth herein are exclusive and the total liability of the company with respect to the contract or the equipment and services furnished hereunder, in connection with the performance or breach thereof or from the manufacture, sale, delivery, installation, repair or technical direction covered by or furnished under the contract, whether based on contract, war-ranty, tort, negligence, indemnity, strict liability or otherwise, shall not exceed the purchase price of the unit of equipment upon which such liability is based. The company and its sup-pliers shall in no event be liable to the purchaser, any successors in interest or any beneficiary or assignee of the contract for any consequential incidental, indirect, special or punitive damages arising out of the contract, or any breach hereof, or any defect in, or failure of, or malfunction of the equipment supplied hereunder whether based upon loss of use, lost profits, revenue or interest, lost goodwill, work stoppage, impairment of other goods, loss by reason of shutdown or non-operation, increased expenses of operation, cost of purchase of replacement power or claims of the purchaser or customers of the purchaser for service interruption, whether or not such loss or damage is based on contract, warranty, tort, negligence, indemnity, strict liability or otherwise.

12. VIOLATIONS OF LAW. The Company shall not be bound by or required to adhere to any term or provision of a purchase order, quotation, bid, letter of credit or like document or any provision of law, regulation or custom, which would cause the Company, its parent or any of its affiliates to be in violation of or fail to comply with the export laws, taxing statutes or regula-tions of the country wherein the Equipment is manufactured or from which it is exported or is otherwise subject to jurisdiction.

13. GOVERNING LAW. The rights and obligations of the Purchaser and the Company shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland and the Purchaser submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.

14. MODIFICATIONS, SEVERABILITY AND ENTIRE AGREEMENT. The Company shall not be bound by any amendment or any modification to the Contract until approved in writing by an officer of the Company. The Contract when so approved shall supersede all previous communications, either oral or written. If any clause of the Contract is held by any competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, the other clauses of the Contract and the remainder of the clause in question shall not be affected thereby.
