YOUR PERSONAL FITNESS

The track in parts is less demanding than some public walk tracks, however there are still challenges on the walk so you will need to be reasonably fit. The average grading for the 4 days of walking is Grade 4.

On the four-day walk the first and second day offers relatively moderate walking providing you the chance to get your walking legs going slowly. On the third day, you will ascend to Spicers Peak Lodge, which is more challenging. Each day is around five to six hours walking time. On the morning of the last day at Spicers Peak Lodge, you will have the choice of rest at the lodge or you can take more short walks on this stunning isolated plateau. Room check–out on the last day is 10:00am and we will return you to your vehicle at the Canopy drop off (White House) around 10:30am on Day 4. The transfer to Brisbane will arrive at approximately 1:30pm at Spicers Balfour Hotel, New Farm.

The weather is generally predictable but you may have some weather changes over the two to three days of walking. Autumn and Spring having cool nights and fair days with winter having colder nights and at times cold days.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Scenic Rim Trial. Enjoy your walk!
