Questionnaire

I created a media questionnaire to help me as a producer and director to contact my audience and see what they would prefer to watch and suggest some ideas that I could use that would make them happy to see. The first to questions show me the age and gender of my media work the majority is female teens and I should base my documentary for what they may like to watch.

The majority of people watch television a 3-5 hours a well however the majority of that time isn’t spent watching documentaries so I now know that if I am to create a documentary I have to make it interesting and enjoyable to watch for people to want to view it, if I make it about an intriguing topic then maybe more people will want to watch for example everyone tuned in the OJ Simpson documentary.

Both of these questions give me an idea of what my target audience like to watch and with extra research I can look into what topics that both of these people do documentaries about and base my documentary on some similar topic. I can also add the elements of these documentaries that they enjoy and feature them in my own documentary.

social media which is what I shall do, it is important to make sure that I listen to what my target audience wants but feature my own creative ideas as well.

This is a questions just about general interests, most people said that they would like it in colour and that might be because some documentaries that are in black and white are sad and quite depressing this means that if it’s in colour I can make it look more appealing and fun.

This gives me an idea to what people think about social media and their own ideas about what is dangerous and why they think it is including their opinions into what I’m doing making it more suited to their interests and what they would like to watch, and what would relevant.

This helps me to show statistics, that I can feature in my media to make it more factual

and accurate for people to watch and make it more interesting and you know that what is being said is true and not made up statistics.

I can use this information in my documentary and express the opinions of my target audience and use these statistics as factual evidence to back mine and my target audience’s point.
