BP Columbia Pipeline Group

Partnering with customers to solve tough challenges

We partnered with Columbia Pipeline Group (CPG) to create a risk management system that provides a more-comprehensive, more-real time view of their operations. By integrating data from existing assets and obtaining digital visualization, analytics and shared situational intelligence, CPG will be able to more proactively prioritize work, respond to potential events with a higher level of confidence, and make proactive decisions regarding pipeline safety, asset integrity and operational efficiency.

BP has been a strong partner on digital, starting with the connection of their 4,000 wells (to the Industrial Internet. GE’s data management software will provide an environment for analytics and advanced visualization for optimizing their well processes. Now we are working with BP on a topside solution for reducing downtime in their offshore operations. With holistic, process-level focus, the solution will introduce new process surveillance and predictive analytic tools for early warnings of potential facility issues.
