CASE- 1: A Case of Psoriasis Dr.Ram kumar Keywords:Homoeopathy;Psoriasis;Nat.Mur/LMpotency

Firstly, one needs to know that research shows that Homoeopathic medicines work by optimising our defence mechanisms. Psoriasis is a result of an overreaction of an immune response, and homeopathy cures it by optimising the immune over-response. It does not suppress the immune system. So, homoeopathic healing is not a miracle or a lucky exception but a fact of biology; the result of the optimum utilisation of the body’s natural healing system which is curative and non-suppressive in nature. Secondly, it is important to realise that the statement by the conventional system of medicine -- Psoriasis cannot be permanently cured? Is only their own opinion, based according to the results achieved with their treatment. (Cortisone therapy).

Skin being biologically within the organism, being fed from within the organism, having its life from within, having its health from within and having its disease from within, it must also be treated medicinally from within. It should be the aim of the physician to treat the individual rather than the particular skin condition.

CASE 2 A Case of Vitiligo treated with Carcinosin Dr.Ram kumar Vitiligo is a disease of cosmetic problem has mush psychosocial impact. The success rate in treating this condition in conventional medicines is limited and sometimes, treatment follows with side effects.The case was treated with Carcinosin over a period of 14monthswith marked improvement with the first dose followed by steady improvement which is evident from the photographs presented. Key words: Homoeopathy; Vitiligo; focalvitiligo; Carcinosin A boy 9years old,presented with depigmented patch over both legs(ant.medial aspect –on &below.knees) of one year duration.The patient had received conventional treatment for a period of one year with out any improvement.The patient had desire for salty things and always sleeps on abdomen..Thereis no family history of vitiligo.He had recurrent pneumonia during childhood days. Carcinosin was selected from the above available symptoms.Hence Carcinosin in 200c potency,a single dose followed by placebo was given.Followups are done on every 2weeks duration.the second dose was given after 2 months with steady improvement of the case.Carcinosin 1M was given when the case came to standstill after 10months.Thereafter the patient was on placebo with steady improvement of the case which is evident from photographs presented below. CASE -8: Case of Parthenium Dermatitis Dr. Ram kumar Keywords:Homoeopathy;Parthenium Dermatitis;Arsenic album A 72 year old,very anxious ,restless male pt consulted at SRHCH(H)on 30/10/06 for skin eruptions –generalised lasting since 3yrs for which he took various treatment modalities and found inevitable.He was done PATCH test at AIIMS and was diagnosed to be positive for Parthenium dermatitis. Eruptions with maculo papular presentation associated with dark pigmentation of the affected parts.Itching+++/burning++++ < Sun++, mid afternoon/midninght > by warmbathing, oil application.based on the below symptoms Anxious,Restlessness,Skin eruptions-eczema,Itching/burning >by warm bathing <midday/midnight.Remedy ARSENIC ALBUM in LM potency was given. Inference of the Case: The case showed marked improvement with ARS.ALB as a constitutional remedy, followed by Psorinum was given as an intercurrent remedy. The case was followed for 6 more months following ARS.ALB-0/4,0/5,0/6,0/7,0/8 with very occassional recurrence of lesions .The intensity and severity of the lesions are just 10% of earlier episodes. CASE-9,10 & 11: Cases of Impetigo Normally, patient`s of impetigo do not consult a Homoeopath since they have been controlled by stronger antibiotic treatment by the modern medical experts. But a few cases do not respond often and lead them with complications like Glomerulo nephritis. Finally the patients rush to Homoeopathic treatment... A suitable Homoeopathic remedy chosen for an impetigo patient raises the immunity and defends the micro-organisms to restore the lesions without complications. Cases of Molluscum Contagiosum: Of the three cured cases posted the drugs used are Cina30, 200(case1), Thuja30 (case2), and Cal.sulph(case3). Homeopathic treatment not only helps in getting rid of the existing Molluscum contagiosum but it also helps in removing the tendency for this condition to recur. Also the method of healing of the Molluscum is without the use of any surgical aids and hence it helps in preventing scarring and other such side-effects that can occur due to surgery.

Treatment: Medicinal: On 6.10.08 Sulphur 1M /1D was given with out any relief.On 13.10.08 Bacillinum 200/3D was given. Patient reported on 12.11.08 with relief. Case-26: Dr.Ravi singh Male pt/22 yrs presented with Warts on Neck, forehead & lt. Elbow & back of Rt. Hands.Rt. Sided Scrotal enlargement for 1 -1/2 years. This Case was Repertorised with the Help of Radar Homoeopathic software and the homoeopathic medication Sepia -30/tds for week was given followinh which placebo given for a month with complete recovery of the lesions and even the scrotal swelling became normal.

Wants to be alone. Fears that god will punish him. Fears people would say something wrong about him. Fixed ideas. Very sensitive to what others say. Dreams: frightening dreams, of losing self in a strange place, unpleasant. as if people are observing him, as a mad person. Desires: sweets2+, tea (very hot). Religiousmania.,Suicidal thoughts from jumps.Wishes to avoid the society, fears if someone says anything wrong to him or vice versa, will b restless all night, will apologize if he thinks that he is mistaken.,Anger trifles.Thoughts worries, sleep disturbed, thoughts stick to the mind.Nervous tremors, left sided..Weeping disposition (2+), emotions subdued.Investigations revealed MRI brain: encephalomalacia with gliosis,left temporal lobe, small areas of gliosis at rightfrontal and left parietal lobe. Cerebral signs: ataxia, impaired tandem walking, nystagmus present. Rhutox-1M was selected ((fears superstitious. pg 47, kent's repertory) with no significant change in the patient.Hence SYPHILINUM 1M (washing hand mania, pg 1224, kent’s repertory) following which patient had no significant change. Finally after Rhustox 10M Patient felt better, sleep improved, improvement in hand washing and religious mania. CASE 28: CASE OF REACTIVE DEPRESSION: Dr.Rahul Vardhan

Mrs P.kaur approached for the treatment of her 18yr old daughter J.kaur on 20/04/09. Since the patient was unwilling to consult any doctor for her problem, her mother gave us the history. In this case the misbehaviour of the teacher with her brought to the stage of loathing of life, indifferent attitude and depression to this studious brilliant girl which was markedly shown improvement in her attitude and love of life again by the homoeopathic medication Anacardium-1M/1dose(Evidence- marked improvement was noted in overall condition of the patient which can also be judged by the dairy of the patient) taking into consideration the whole symptomatology of the patient.Thus Homoeoapthic treatment not only alleviates the symptoms and also brings back the lost harmony of the individual at both mental and physical level.

The above two cases shows the role of Homoeopathic treatment in the Psychiatric disorders.

CASE 29: Case of Thelarche Dr.Kavita Sharma A Female child of 2 ½ years from AIIMS presented with breast enlargement for 8-9 months. Bilateral but more on lt. sideMilestone on time.with no other significant history.pt was completely improved within the period of 6 months by Puls 200 3doses (mild, weeps easily, Yielding).Though the condition is benign, self-limiting –effect of homoeopathic medicine can be ascertained from statistical data obtained from samples. (Similar cases) .Evidences are posted below.

CASE-30: Case of Renal calculi and ovarian cyst: Dr.Shipra goel Keywords:Homoeopathy;Renalcalculi-ovarian cyst;Pulsatilla Here is a brief case history describing prime symptoms and observations before Homoeopathic treatment, medical prescription followed and the results achieved thereafter thus curing the patient ; (A) Case reported on 15/1/09: It’s a case of a young girl named Ms.R aged 19 yrs. (B) Symptoms and Observations reported by patient:

(i) Severe unbearable constant right sided backache for the past 2 months. (ii) Delayed menses by 2 to3 months for the past fours years (LMP was on 20-11-

2008). (iii) Weeping Disposition +++. (iv) Decreased thirst (approx . consumption- only one glass of water /day (C) USG done on 19/12/2008 (before date of reporting) which showed following

observations: (i) Right Renal Calculus of 4mm size in the middle Calyx and (ii) Left Ovarian Cyst 40mm x 36mm x 33mm – 24 cc.

(D) Homoeopathic Medicines prescribed on the basis of symptoms and USG report, (i) 15/1/09 (date of reporting) Medorrhium200/3dose (Stat).

Puls 200/TDS x 15 days Berb Vulg Q + Senecio aur Q (E) Patient reported again on 30/01/2009 (after 15 days of Homoeopathic treatment) and following observations were reported by patient;

(i) Backache was better ++. (ii) Menses appeared on 17/01/2009 just after two days of medicine intake.

(F) Homoeopathic Medicines prescribed again on the basis of symptoms reported by patient, (i) 30/1/09 (date of reporting again) Puls 200/BD x 7 days Berb Vulg Q + Senecio aur Q (G) Final Outcome - USG was repeated again on 27/02/2009 which indicated normal scan and the patient was asymptomatic.

CASE-31: A case of non-specific acute abdominal pain Dr.Pradeep kumar roy This case shares with you that how the knowledge of miasm helps to find out the totality of symptoms even in acute case & every acute manifestation has its root in its basic miasm. A female child of 6yrs presented with acute paroxysm of abdominal pain for last two days.It is irregular in nature & last for one to two minutes, recurs five to six times in a day. During pain she used to lie-down in bed with bent forward & hand pressed over the abdomen. Her parents said she passed thread worm in stool few days ago. Stool regular & soft, urine clear thirst moderate. On 24.11.09 Rx 1. Cina 200/ one dose followed by Mag. Phos 6X (SOS) On Next day Reporting – no improvement On further query it revels that she becomes very irritable during pain So, on 25.11.09 Rx 1. Colocynths -30 QDS On next day Reporting –No improvement So on further interrogation the following details taken in to consideration – Site of pain – around the navel. Character – pain comes & goes gradually Modalities - > Hard pressure O/E – skin -spider spot Family history- paternal side – D.M., HTN, & TB. Past history – Passed thread worm, recurrent stye, dermatophytosis, vaccination done. Generalities – easily catches cold Desire – sweets, aversion- milk. Bathing – dreads. So on 26.11.09Rx- Stannum met -30 QDS Next day reporting no pain occurs after taking 1st dose till today. Interpretation It is a simple case of acute abdomen, still it revels some of the fundamentals of Homoeopathy i.e.

a. Totality of symptoms is essential in each and every case. b. Here sycotic miasm is the dominating miasm (getting from presenting

complain) having its root in tubercular background (getting from family history, past history & generalities).

So, a remedy must encompass the miasm as well as the totality of symptoms i.e determination of predominating miasm is helpful to select the remedy.

CASE-32: A Case of Renal Calculi Dr.Kavita sharma Keywords:Homoeopathy;Renal Calculi-10mm in size;Phosphorus A 36 Years old male patient, working in steel polish factory, presented with c/o pain in right lumbar region radiating to groin off & on for past 1½ - 2 months. He was also having pain & burning micturition. History of similar episode nine months back and was diagnosed to have Renal calculi with improper treatment.personal history shows he had storndg desire of salt,extrovert in nature and desires company. Ultrasound report as on 06.06.09:- Right lower ureteric calculus (10mm) is causing minimal hydronephrosis with small right renal calculus (4mm). Inference: The case showed symptomatic improvement initially with Sarasaparilla and Hydrangea mother tincture.following this Phos-1M given on constitutional basis Passed 2 calculi in urine which could be procured. (PHOTOGRAPH ATTACHED) and usg report-normal study.

CASE-33: A Case of Tubo-ovarian mass-of 12yrs (Sec.Infertility) Dr.Ravi singh Keywords:Homoeopathy;Sec.Infertility;Anti-sycotic;Medorrhinum A patient D , F/ 37,Mother of a 13 years child is unable to conceive for last 12 years(Sec.Infertility) associated with Recurrent Lt. sided Headache for 7-8 years.Had the family history of pulm.koch’s(father) and Br.asthma(grand father).Irritable patient,Weeps easily, Fears husband will leave her,desires solitude,sour things and prefers to sleep on abdomen. Menses- Menarche-11 yrs. Flow more every alternate month Duration- 6-15 Days.,Dysmenorrhea. LMP- 8.04.09. USG- 1.05.09- Uterus is anteverted,normal in size. Rt. Adnexal region shows a cystic mass measuring 44 * 36 mm. Inference: Based on the above totality taking into consideration anti-sycotic miasm which is very predominant here Medorrhinum 1M/3doses was given which showed marked improvement in the patient and usg report after three months of treatment shows normal study.here in this case spigelia -30 was given as an acute remedy for migrainous complaint. USG – 13.07.09- Rt. Ovary normal in size and echo pattern. NOMAL PELVIC SCAN

Mr.krishna ,18 year old male patient presented with RT.FACIAL PALSY for the last 1 month associated with lacrimation rt.sided/difficulty in hearing+otalgia esp. on rt.side.H/o of vesicular lesions on palate/ear/neck. Took treatment in AIIMS –no change.

CASE -35: A Case of Bell’s palsy

How does Ramsay Hunt syndrome compare with Bell's palsy? Bell's palsy also is a result of injury to the facial nerve by virus infection, but the suspected cause of Bell's palsy (viral) has not been identified. Ramsey Hunt syndrome is caused by the Varicella virus (herpes zoster) that also causes chickenpox and shingles (a painful, blister-producing herpes zoster reinfection that usually occurs on one side of the body). There is no red rash associated with Bell's palsy as there is with Ramsey Hunt syndrome. Additionally, Ramsay Hunt syndrome is commonly more painful than Bell's palsy. However, both can cause eyelid and mouth paralysis on one side of the face Dr.Amit arora A female patient,37yrs old presented with RT.sided facial palsy ailments after taking cold water after she came back to her house in the afternoon.Based on this presentation1. Bellis P. 200/OD/3days (taking ailments from being cold when body is hot)2. Causticum 30/BD/3days (Right sided facial paralysis)was given initially with gradual improvement in aweek following which causticum-200 given made to recover her complaints.

Bleeding could not be Stopped without admitting in AIIMS & transfusing Blood on every bleed.Several blood transfusions were given in first 1 ½ years.

On the basis of Appearance of Family Members & child Alongwith Haemorrhagic disorder & character of blood -Phos -30 thrice daily for 3 days along with Erigeron Q 5 drops tds for 7 days was given . Pt took conventional treatment from Safdarjung hospital for the past 1.5yrs-with relapse of complaints. Done-CT SCAN-20/1/09-CHEST,ABD,PELVIS- IMP-CEERVICAL,MEDIASTINAL,ABD LA- New level VA –Lt side Axillary LA developed. *Histopatholgy report: REED-STERNBERG CELLS seen

Inference: She was given ARS.IOD-30/BD/7days initially following with cal.flour/6x/tds/7days given time to time with improvement of the systemic symptoms in a week of treatment.Carcinosin-200/1dose was given as an intercurrent during the relapse (on 3/10/09).after which showed marked improvement with general well being (no fever,appetite- improved,increase in weight gain and no other systemic symptoms). Constitutional remedy is PULSATILLA-30/1dosewas given and the case is under observation till today with no relapses and remissions .pt was asked to report on periodic basis ….(pts consent taken-treatment was started with consent of the patient due to adverse effects of chemotheraphy ). Homeopathy may help reduce symptoms and strengthen overall constitutional and may help decrease the side effects of chemotherapy.

CASE-45 A Queer Case of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Dr.Kavita Sharma A 35 yrs. old female of endomorphic built presented with a queer c/o biting her hands and knees since early childhood and worsened for past 5 -6 yrs. after fit of anger. The skin over the dorsum of hands was thickened and hyperpigmented.she is Ahot patient with increased appetite,sweat and thirst. Her mother gave history that she was too conscious of cleanliness and kept on washing utensils and clothes again and again. If anyone tries to stop her, she would become angry and start biting herself for minutes in a rage. And when she regains conciousness, she complained of pain in hands because of sore and bruises.She also had h/o sudden fall without any involuntary movements of the limbs ?? Absentism According to her mother, she was born premature after prolong labour and did not cry after birth for long. Since childhood, she was not interested in studies having concentration deficit, not able to remember things and never went to school.. She used to confront more often with other siblings. She had unsuccessful married life 7 yrs. back. Family history : 5 sisters and 2 brothers, she being the eldest,2 sisters have vitiligo 1 sister had koch’s.
