You will actively engage in the process of creating images to to develop as critical and reflective thinkers.

OCR GCSE Photography Units

Unit 1: Coursework Portfolio (worth 60%)Students produce a portfolio of work based on 3 genre themes:

•Still Life Objects •Identity Portraiture•Landscape-Location

Students are introduced to a wide range of photographic media. Students acquire basic analytical and conceptual skills through research of photographers from different cultures and time periods. Unit 2: OCR-set Project (worth 40%)Students select one theme from an exam paper and then they produce a personal project in response. They will show independent research and image making skills.

Unit 2: OCR-set Project (worth 50%)Students choose a theme from the exam paper and then they produce a project in response. They show proficiency in a wide range of photographic techniques. They will be able to independently research and develop their conceptual and visual ideas.
