Firefighters First Credit Union, Los Angeles, CA 2015—Present Instructional Designer: Responsible for the overall learning of the organization. Developed and delivered coursework, i.e. classes on Emotional Intelligence, Crucial Conversations, Business Writing, Microsoft and various other topics. Managed compliance training using already developed on-line content from CUNA, created on-line content, delivered Instructor-Led courses. Designed and filmed video courses, using Adobe Captivate, Adobe Premiere, desktop Publishing using Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Publisher, and transitioned the company to Cornerstone On Demand LMS System. Created and lead Employee Development Day, which impacted the entire organization. Coordinated monthly All-Hands meetings using video conferencing solutions. Designed and developed a 10-week leadership curriculum, including a capstone presentation for Executives, designed and delivered New-Hire Training.

Walmart, Santa Clarita, CA 2011—2015 Regional Facilitator: Facilitated the Assistant Store Manager Training Program with emergent leaders of Walmart. The program was a six to eight week leadership program, where the primary goal was to help new leaders develop leadership skills. Including coaching, evaluations, individual and group development, public speaking, routines, recognition, conflict management, change management, delegation and many other topics. Since starting in the Pacific Division in 2012, I personally impacted 450+ Assistant Managers for Walmart, from all over the United States.

Kaplan College, Thornton, CO 2009—2011 Computer Support Trainer: University Environment where students were taught how hardware and software fit together, and prepared students for the A+ Certification Exam. Coursework included Microsoft Products, Customer Service, Networking Security, Storage, and many other computer topics. Pioneered a blended learning approach with other departments where a real-world simulation stretched students using role-playing, activities, lectures, discussions, and hands-on opportunities. Kaplan College changed company curriculum to include simulations as a result of the success of my pilot program. • Recognized as Teacher-of-the-Month February 2010.• Worked with the department chair on curriculum development, design and review.• Special training days designed to help students and staff learn Microsoft Office.

Other Professional Experience

Physicians Health Group, Colorado Springs, CO 2007—2008 IT Director: Handled all aspects of maintaining and managing the company computer systems. Server management, remote secure logins, firewall management, backup strategy, server high availability. Upgraded and managed all workstations, allowed owner to see system activity from remote locations. Designed and programmed database operations to help manage the business and show results. Converted from a wired phone system, costing the company $50 per seat, to an integrated VOIP system, using a SQL Server-- saving about $1,500 per month.

Backflow Express, San Clemente, CA Owner and operator of a plumbing company in Orange County, California. Handled all aspects of the business: prospecting, strategic alliances, customer service, bidding, billing, accounting and skilled labor.
