EARLY BIRD DAY, THURSDAY 10TH
When we arrive, the mystery of the Two Linda’s
is solved. Left to right: Linda A, Harold Adleman
(owners) and Linda N (Nick) help us to under-
stand our confusion.
This campground is on a slight hill. The RV sites
are on roadways. Special cuts are made to allow
departures from a full road way to an adjacent
road. The hill reduces the I-75 traffic noise.
The campground layout can be seen here. The
grass between roads provides enough space for
our outdoor gathering place.
That evening we drive into old Alachua for
supper at Brown’s Country Buffet. There were not
many (any?) other travelers there that night.

DAY – 1, Friday 11TH
Early in the morning our walk about allowed us
to visit the animals staying at this campground.
1 The Rams butt heads over their breakfast.
2 The small donkeys share their meal.
3 When the horse is let into the pen for his hay,
the donkeys move around away from him. Even-
tually they do share the hay pile.
In the animal kingdom size must make right.
The man feeding them is well treated.

Herman and Betty Jones have a friend that
runs a Mexican restaurant. The friend moved
from Gainesville to Alachua so that he could be
the only Mexican restaurant in town.
1 We find the strip mall store front, well hidden.
2 If serving size and tasty food make for success,
he may overcome the hidden location.
3 Many “Doggy Boxes” were needed after we
finished what we could eat.
Members Attending: Fenders, Johnsons, Jones, Morans, Mullises, Samples and Yearouses.
Guests: None.
February Birthdays: Ole Johnson 2/19.
February Anniversaries: None.

The meeting room is a converted metal garage.
They have new tables and chairs available.
1 The breakfast club waits for the start of break-
fast at 8:00 am.
2 Some members arrive early. More chairs circle
a table and soon the food is cooked.
3 This morning we have our business meeting.
Some of us move forward to be nearer to Chris-
tine’s low volume voice.
That afternoon we are outside and the women
are finding campsites for the new year.
The owners have had a large cake baked for us
and then decorated. An unexpected gift for us.
The roast is just a part of tonight’s supper. We
have many good cooks and a variety of foods.
This may be the only time that we gather to-
gether without continuous conversations.

DAY – 3, Sunday 13TH
After supper, the natural grouping separates
men from women. They have different table talk
and interests to discuss.
The women have a short discussion. Then, let
the games begin. They prove the winner not by
scores, but by the pocket change won.
Sunday we start breakfast on time and soon all
have been fed. Bill Moran and Ellis Mullis once
again are up early and cook for us.
The plans for the next camp out are discussed
. A few games on the Portables are evaluated.
Things are slow at the end of a camp weekend.
This is a view of our room. There is plenty of
space for a much larger group to meet here.
After our cleanup, the room is better than we
found it. A Good Sam requirement for any site.
Note the changes in campground location for February, 2013. This change was made after the January camp out. You should have an E-mail about this change from Christine Yearous.
