Hazardous Materials
Dane County Clean Sweep:
Clean Sweep is a place to
bring hazardous household
materials such as oil-based
paints, paint-related prod-
ucts, pesticides, poisons,
household products contain-
ing organic solvents, ignita-
bles, aerosols, and recharge-
able batteries.
By providing the public with
an opportunity to safely dis-
pose of such hazardous
products, Dane County keeps
these products out of land-
fills & lowers the environ-
mental risks associated with
improper disposal, resulting
in a healthier environment.
How many times have you asked yourself, is this
recyclable? A recent survey indicated that 47% of
Americans would recycle more if they knew what
to recycle. Let’s fix that for Stoughton!
Stoughton has
Single Stream
Recycling!
Single-stream recycling is the industry name for a new system that changes the way people sort, collect and pro-cess recyclables. Single-stream means mixing recyclables in one container, and collecting them in one com-partment of a truck and processing the mixed load.

out of landfills and incinera-

state, creating jobs and pre-
serving valuable resources.
Each E-Cycling site has differ-

properly managed.

several means:

Works Department
