• Co-operative society can be established by the government at the present scenario because many agricultural lands turn into concrete structure and government can implement new technologies and share agricultural machineries among the societies .

• Agricultural researchers will get employment in these societies and it will be helpful to farmers.

• Government will get regular income from these societies and tax evasion burden is less to govt.

Co-operative Societies

• Government can provides credit facilities to farmers to improve rain water harvesting.

• The agriculture in India depends upon irrigation because the monsoon in India is uncertain and hence the rainfall should be conserved or harvested.

• Due to improved irrigation facilities dry area of western India has been benefited a lot the production has been increased over the years in these areas.

Improved Irrigation

• It should be used in right proportions along with artificial fertilizers and too much use of artificial fertilized should be reduced, soil fertility should be check once in 6 months.

• Government Should give subsidies to farmers those who use natural fertilizers .

• Use of natural fertilizer reduces pollution and increases soil fertility of land.

PROSPOSED SOLUTION (AGENDA FOR 2014 GENERAL ELECTION)

Page 3: GANADOR

• If this situation prevails the agriculture productivity will decrease and we have to import food products from other countries which will decrease foreign exchange and increase inflation.

Causes

• Agriculture productivity is low in India because at present scenario many agriculture lands forming into concrete structure.

Scope

• Time has come change we need in the agricultural sector and increase the productivity and make the agricultural sector into a profitable one.

Reasons For Selecting The Problem

TO BOOST AGRICULTURE IN INDIA (AGENDA FOR 2014 GENERAL ELECTION)

Page 4: GANADOR

• The government should make it a manifesto point, that it will from societies for production purpose the farmers can get permanent income through this scheme.

• The cost of implementing this solution will be half of the amount of the agricultural loan provided by the government [62.5 thousand crores]

Co Operative

Society

• Drip irrigation system can be strictly implement through which water can be conserved.

• Irrigation canals can be constructed across the dry land area, so that the farmers in these regions are benefited.

Irrigations

• The bio-fertilizer can be easily produced by the farmer in his own land and its cost efficiently.

• The natural fertilizer are eco friendly and it doesn`t kill the insects which are farmers friendly, thus it maintains the ecological balance.

IMPLEMENTATION

Page 5: GANADOR

• The farmers can have minimum risk because the societies protect the farmers from loans, crop failure etc…

• The farmers can be educated about agricultural techniques and other benefit scheme announced by the govt. through the societies.

• The societies give employment opportunities even to non agricultural persons such as researchers , officers .etc…

Co Operative Society:

• The impact of irrigation will be high since India is already dependent on agricultural facility the water can be used efficiently through improved irrigation facility.

• The dry areas can be connected with rivers or dams through canals and tanks so that the rain water doesn’t be wasted, it can be used in dry areas.

• The irrigation canals can be also used as source of water supply for drinking purpose and electricity through these canals.

Irrigation

• The use of organic fertilizers improve the condition of soil, prevent plant diseases , increases nutritional contents in vegetables and fruits.

• The natural fertilizers promote the growth of beneficial bacteria, earthworms and fungus that built soil structure and foster healthy plans.

• The bio fertilizers maintains the acidity (Ph) level of soil so that the fertility of soil is enriched.

IMPACT OF THE SOLUTION

Page 6: GANADOR

• The first challenge in implementing this idea is to get

concern of all farmers and make them to cooperate with

govt.

• Lack of uniformity in soil and land will affected because the

soil pattern will be different In different area .

• Government has to spend more money in order to aware

people about this benefits.

Cooperative society:

• The government should spend more finance for constriction of canal and tank

• The canal and should be properly maintained once in the year

Irrigation:

• The bio- fertilizers doesn't give quick fix solution, it give slow result to the fertility of land.

• The bio ingredients is in-sufficient to produced the bio-fertilizers

• The farmers doesn't have the awareness of bio-fertilizers
