When the other team has the puck in our Defensive zone•Stay in your room•Wings keep your back to the boards - watch the D and the corners•If the puck comes into your room – go get it – go hard• Its ok to leave your room to get a loose puck•Center supports the Defensemen – gets the loose puck or picks up the forward who gets away from our D

Top speed in the neutral zone •If there is a clear path to the goalie, the player with the puck goes straight in, others follow for rebound•Otherwise, the player with the puck brings the puck into the offensive zone near the boards – go wide•Players without the puck skate to open ice so that there is a passing lane –this is often nearer to the boards than to center ice – you can often skate across the ice to create a passing lane•Do not skate into opponents, skate away from them.•D need to get to the offensive blue line quickly - join the offense•If a D is rushing the puck, the last forward needs to pull up at the blue line

No forward positions in the Offensive Zone• Stay in a triangle when we have the puck• Forwards without the puck need to skate to open ice • One forward stays above the face off dots• Another stays on the weak side (ok to be below the goal line)• Always be moving – skate into passing lanes

Defensemen stay inside the Blue Line when we have the puck• D move together when the puck moves• Strong side D on the boards• Weak side D in the middle

• Use the points! - Screen the goalie!

Shooting Zone• If you have the puck and enter the shooting zone – SHOOT• Go to the net when you see your teammate with the puck in the shooting zone

We’re shooting this way
