From the 24” Panel - Black (A), fussy cut:• (1) 22 ½” x 43 ¼” panel.

From the Starlet - Purple (B), cut:• (3) 2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2” x 43 ¼” strips.• (2) 2” x 25 ½” WOF strips.• (9) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.

From the Textured Sky - Rust (C), cut:• (3) 3 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 3 ½” x 45 ½” strips.• (2) 5” x 30 ½” WOF strips. From the Planets - Black (D), cut:• (2) 6 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (10) 6 ½” squares.

From the Urban Legend - Rust (E), cut:• (10) 3 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (120) 3 ½” squares.

From the Shooting Stars - Black (H), cut:• (4) 6 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (20) 6 ⅞” squares.

From the Stripe - Rust (I), cut:• (5) 3 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 3 ½” x 90 ½” strips.• (4) 3 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 3 ½” x 72 ½” strips.

From the Spinning Planets - Black (Backing), cut:• (2) 104” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 80” x 104” back.

Sewing Instructions1. Sew (1) 2” x 43 ¼” Fabric B strip to each side of the 22 ½” x 43 ¼” Fabric A panel. Sew (1) 2” x 25 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A panel. Trim the block to measure 24 ½” x 45 ½” to make the Center Block (Fig. 1).

2. Place (1) 6 ⅞” Fabric G square on top of (1) 6 ⅞” Fabric H square, right sides together. Draw a line across the diagonal of the top square (Fig. 2). Sew ¼” away from each side of the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 2). Cut the (2) squares apart on the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 3) to make (2) half-square triangles. Trim the blocks to measure 6 ½” square to make (2) Unit 1 blocks (Fig. 4). Repeat to make (40) Unit 1 blocks total.

Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.)11. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 45 ½” Fabric C strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 5” x 30 ½” Fabric C strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

12. Sew together (3) Block Two strips and (2) Block One squares lengthwise and alternating them, to make (1) side strip. Repeat to make a second side strip. Sew (1) side strip to each side of the Center Block.

13. Sew together (3) Block One squares and (2) Block Two strips lengthwise and alternating them to make the top border. Repeat to make the bottom border. Sew the borders to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

14. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 90 ½” Fabric I strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 72 ½” Fabric I strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

15. Layer and quilt as desired.

16. Sew the (9) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric B strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

17. Bind as desired.

3. Place (1) Fabric G-Template 1 triangle on top of (1) Fabric F-Template 2 triangle, right sides together, aligning the left sides (Fig. 5). Sew the (2) triangles together along the left side. Press the smaller triangle open.

4. Place (1) Fabric G-Template 3 triangle on top of the Fabric F-Template 2 triangle, right sides together, aligning the right sides (Fig. 6). Sew the (2) triangles together along the right side. Press the smaller triangle open. Trim the block to measure 6 ½” square to make (1) Unit 2 block (Fig. 7).

5. Repeat Steps 3-4 to make (60) Unit 2 blocks total.

6. Place (1) 3 ½” Fabric E square on the bottom left corner of (1) Unit 2 block, right sides together (Fig. 8). Sew across the diagonal of the smaller square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 8). Flip open the triangle formed and press. Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle ¼” away from the sewn seam.

7. Follow Figure 9 for the seam direction to add a 3 ½” Fabric E square to the lower right corner of the Unit 2 block to make (1) Unit 3 block (Fig. 10).

8. Repeat Steps 6-7 to make (60) Unit 3 blocks total.

9. Sew (1) Unit 1 block to each side of (1) Unit 3 block to make the top row. Repeat to make the bottom row. Sew (1) Unit 3 block to each side of (1) 6 ½” Fabric D square to make the middle row. Sew the (3) rows together to make (1) Block One square (Fig. 11). Pay attention to the orientation of the blocks and strips. Repeat to make (10) Block One squares total.

10. Sew (1) Unit 3 block to the top and to the bottom of (1) 6 ½” Fabric G square to make (1) Block Two strip (Fig. 12). Pay attention to the orientation of the blocks. Repeat to make (10) Block Two strips total.
