1 Purpose

This installation guide provides the information you need to set up the configuration of thisbuilding block using automated configuration tools, such as BC Sets. If you are not familiar withworking with the automated configuration tools, refer to the document Essential Information.

If you do not want to use the automated installation process and prefer to configure this buildingblock manually, refer to the configuration guide of this building block.

2 Preparation

.2.1 Prerequisites

If you want to use this building block, you must first install the following building blocks:

.2.2 Uploading the Installation Role

Use

Before you start with the installation using the automated procedures described in this installationguide, upload the installation role and assign it to your user. If you prefer to carry out some of the steps manually, refer to the configuration guide of this building block.

This building block provides one or more installation roles, which enable you to access all thetransactions required for the installation from the relevant system. The following roles areavailable for this building block:

Procedure

For details on how to upload the installation roles to the system and how to work with the roles,refer to the document Essential Information.

 

3 Requesting the Installation Status

Use

The purpose of this activity is to check whether the current building block has already beeninstalled. This enables you to keep track of the installation process.

Procedure

1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

Transaction Code /SMB99/T001_J01_G63

2. Choose Execute to start the eCATT procedure.

3. The installation status information is displayed (incomplete, successfully installed (complete),or reset to incomplete).

Result

If the installation of the current building block is incomplete and you want to complete it now, goback to the installation role and proceed with the next step.

If the installation of the current building block is complete, you can proceed to the next buildingblock. If, for some reason, you want to redo some or all of the completed installation of the currentbuilding block, first go to the activity Setting the Installation Status to reset the status toincomplete. Then make your changes before returning to the activity Setting the InstallationStatus to set the status to complete again.

4 Configuration

.4.1 Activating Rebate Processing

Use

The purpose of this activity is to activate the rebate processing for the sales organization BP01.

Procedure

1. Access the activity using the following navigation options:

Configuration→ Manual step: Activate Rebate Processing 

Transaction Code OVB1

IMG Menu Sales and Distribution→Billing →Rebate Processing →

 Activate Rebate Processing →Activate Rebate Processing for sales organizations

2. On the Sales Organization - Rebate screen, make the following entry:

3. On the Rebate: Recreate Billing Index dialog box, choose No.

4. Choose Save.

Result

You have activated the sales rebate processing for the sales organization BP01.

.4.2 Defining Agreement Type

Use

The purpose of this activity is to define an agreement type for Building Block G63, ExtendedRebate Configuration.

Procedure

1.  Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

SAP R/3 Role Menu G63: Installation Role for Extended Rebate Configuration→

Configuration → Define Agreement Type

Transaction Code /SMB26/B005_G63_01

2.  Activate the BC Set /SMB26/V_T6B1_B005_G63.

3.  Complete the activation of the BC Set and go back to the installation role.

Result

You have defined agreement type YGE1.

.4.3 Assigning Agreement Type to Number Range

Use

The purpose of this activity is to assign an agreement type to a standard number range.

Procedure1. Access the activity using the following navigation options:

SAP R/3 Role Menu G63: Installation role for Extended Rebate Configuration→

Configuration→ Manual Step: Assign Agreement Type toNumber Range

Transaction Code VB(1

IMG Menu Sales and Distribution→ Billing → Rebate Processing →

Rebate Agreements→ Define Number Ranges for Sales Deals

2. Choose Maintain Group.

3. Under  Not Assigned , choose the agreement type YGE1.

4. Set a flag at the top of the list in the box for Standard number range (volume-based rebate).

5. Choose Element/Group.

6. Choose Save.

7. Go back to the installation role.

Result

The agreement type YGE1 is now assigned to a standard number range.

.4.4 Settings for Agreement Types and Rebate Settlements

Use

The purpose of this activity is to make all required extended rebate relevant settings related to theagreement type, which was created before. Furthermore a condition type group will be assignedto agreement type YGE1.

Procedure

1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

SAP R/3 Role Menu G63: Installation Role for Extended Rebate Configuration→

Configuration → Settings for Agreement Types and Reb

Transaction Code /SMB26/S001_G63_01

2.  Activate the BC Set /SMB26/REBATE_S001_G63.

3.  In the Enter Variable Field Values screen, change the values of the following field:

Agreement type YGE1

4. Complete the activation of the BC Set and go back to the installation role.

Result

You have activated BC Set /SMB26/REBATE_S001_G63. 

.4.5 Activating Extended Rebate Processing

Use

The purpose of this activity is to activate the extended rebate processing

Procedure

1. Access the activity using the following navigation options:

Transaction Code OMO1

IMG Menu Sales and Distribution→ Billing → Rebate Processing →

2. Choose Information Structure S136.

3. Select Synchronous updating (1).

4. Choose Enter .

5. Choose Information Structure S469.

6. Select Synchronous updating (1).

7. Choose Enter .

8. Choose Save.

9. Go back to the installation role.

Result

The extended rebate processing was activated by activating the rebate-related info structures

S136 and S469.

.4.6 Inserting Update Routines for Rebate

Use

The purpose of this activity is to activate the settings to update the routines for rebate.

Procedure

1.  Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

SAP R/3 Role Menu G63: Installation Role for Extended Rebate Configuration→Configuration → Insert Update Routines for Rebate

Transaction Code /SMB26/B002_G63_01

2.  Activate the BC Set /SMB26/TMC2F_B002_G63.

3. Complete the activation of the BC Set and go back to the installation role.

Result

You have activated BC Set /SMB26/TMC2F_B002_G63.

5 Setting the Installation Status

Use

The purpose of this activity is to set the installation status for the current building block tocomplete. This status is then used when building block installation status requests are made, andtherefore enables you to keep track of the installation process.

Procedure

1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

SAP R/3 Role Menu G63: Installation role for Extended Rebate Configuration→Set Status for Building Block G63

Transaction Code /SMB99/T002_J01_G632. Choose Execute to start the eCATT procedure.

3. Choose Complete if all steps in the installation role for this building block have beencompleted successfully.

Note that if the installation status is already complete, you have the option of resetting it to incomplete if you want to redo part or all of the installation of thebuilding block for some reason.

Result

The installation status is now set to complete.
