“There was a little bit of hand of Godin this all along the way.”
- TJB Homes owner Tom Budzinski.

was able to quickly coordinateover 2,000 volunteers and turnmany away because there wassimply nothing left to do. Hedescribes a guy on site, a masterplumber who stood and offeredhis services, and was delightedwith the opportunity to simplehaul away debris. “I saw ownersof highly established firms inhard hats working hard or hard-er then their guys.”
With over 500 hours of com-
bined experience they pulledtogether a crew of 125 framers,“They were stepping from ladderto ladder.” Local donations weretoo abundant to mention,Caribou coffee donated 650 gal-lons of coffee, McDonalds andWalmart delivered pickups fullof food and necessities. “Someof the local outpouring wastremendous,” exclaimedBudzynski.
“There were all these littlemiracles happening all over; thewhole thing was a miracle…it wasbeyond imagination, we kind of
build our homes like this, ‘beyondimagination! The most amazingpart of it was, the good part of itwas, a negative turned into a posi-tive. To physically see this publicoutpouring…it was built withlove and hugs.”
Though the house is built,in a record 99 hours, and thefamily’s moved in, the job isnot complete, claimsBudzynski. There will be a lotof expenses the family will con-
tinue to incur for a long time tocome. He remains activelyinvolved in fundraising andawareness of domestic abuseissues, and encourages all thosethat can and will to help. Please visit TJB Homes Websiteat www.TJBHomes.com to seeall the project photos, all thecontributors and partners, theproject’s daily schedule, andlearn more about how you canhelp. °
