Our History Broad Consulting Group was formed in 2018 following the extraction from the Broad Group of the professional consulting services into a separate and dedicated group member company.

Leveraging existing data as effectively as possible is key to the

success of any new digital system. However, often working

with the existing data is challenging for the same reasons that

To help guide technology decision-making a set of architecture

Architecture principles

We encourage devolved and automated governance over

centralised governance wherever possible. The goal is to provide

a suitable framework that allows delivery teams to make

localised decisions without sacrificing the overall simplicity or

the non functional requirements of the architecture.

By publishing guidelines such as architecture principles then

we can provide the rails for teams to make their own decisions.

Wherever possible we use automation techniques to ensure

standards are being adhered to. We have a strong emphasis on

continuous delivery, to enable continuous delivery at any level of

scale it is important to automate checks to ensure that any new

code or system is secure, performant and operable.

Often this will require the new system to adhere to a set of

standards and produce a set of standard outputs for monitoring

and security. By making a stage of the pipeline responsible for

checking these standards it means the standards are clear and

Domain Modelling

When implementing a new technology strategy it is important

are normally aligned to business domains or functions. This

Review service can be applied to

any client project or situation(such

as cloud transition or migration)

to provide an independent expert

informed point of view.

We will examine your IS/ICT

solution assessing the quality and

completeness against a check list

of pre-determined criteria. We will

perform an architecture assessment

analysis across a number of key areas.

The core findings are documented in

a technical review report.


We will review and assess the programme/project to analyse the architecture and

technical solution environment, across the following areas: Business, Process and

Application Requirements, Volumetrics, RAID, Methodology and Documentation, Solution

and Design, Standards, Data and Integration, Non Functional Design and Security.

Service Overview

A project management office (PMO) is a group or department

within a business, agency or enterprise that defines and

maintains standards for project management and takes care of

the key transactional tasks in order to free up the Project and

Programme managers to improve efficiency by 35% and help

spend more time at the front end. This is critical when deploying

major Cloud based initatitves.

The primary goal of a PMO is to achieve benefits from

standardising and following project management processes,

policies and methods. For the office to be most effective, it

should embody the organisation’s culture and strategy.


Our approach to PMO is a dedicated team and process that

takes care of all the transactional activities for projects or

programmes. As well as taking care of the transitional activities,

It delivers strategic and operational insight into programmes

and projects, and delivery of “One Truth” data allowing senior

management to have visibility of and make decisions on the

basis of this “One Truth.”

Driving standardisation and consistency in approach to delivery

of projects, aligned with delivery excellence, to reduce the

Training

Classroom-based training is the best pathway to a formal

exchange of knowledge. We can provide standard or specific

to the engagement classroom style training as part of the

knowledge transfer process. Our trainers are all experienced

architects or consultants with background in the lesson subject.

Workshops

The workshop pathway is the ideal route for a two way transfer

of knowledge. This bi-directional exchange of knowledge is

typical in the early stages of a project for working through the

real meaning of requirements and for exploring the art of the

possible.

Shadowing

Working alongside our team is the best way for your staff to

obtain on the job knowledge transfer. This informal method

of knowledge transfer helps your staff gain experience and

confidence in the method, tools and techniques used. This

allows your staff to gain experience in a safe and supportive

environment.

Coaching

Coaching is aimed at much longer term and less formal levels

of support required to provide occasional, long term support of

your teams over an extended period. This can be agreed and

delivered to specific requirements.

On Boarding & Off Boarding Services

On-boarding

Broad Consulting Group has proven and effective on and

off boarding skills, tools and methodologies. For all service

requirements Broad Consulting Group have experienced

transition specialists who bring to bear considerable knowledge.

The transition process is scalable and can be used for large and

small scale on-boarding requirements. For Specialist Cloud

Services, Broad Consulting Group will engage directly with the

client to ensure the full scope of the requirements is understood

and agreed in advance of any engagement.

We will work with senior stakeholders to define the necessary

business outcomes and ensure the services are aligned

accordingly. For all services Broad Consulting Group understands

the client’s requirements and tailors the on-boarding process

to reflect these needs, using the experience, lessons learnt

and methodology from many years of public sector transition

experience

Off-Boarding

• Off-boarding is instigated by a client request or due to expiry of

the service agreement.

• Deletion of any virtual machine image and data will occur in

line with the service agreement.

• Any required data will be made available using appropriate

media, in line with the data security classification.

• After client notification that data has been successfully

recovered, Broad Consulting Group will purge and destroy

client data from any computer or storage device or media that

remains part of the Broad Consulting Group estate

Pricing, Ordering & Invoicing, Terms & Conditions

Pricing

For each engagement we will agree the scope with you and

then calculate the appropriate price, based on our SFIA rate

card.

The skill levels required for this our services will be explained

to you and will normally be a combination of resource levels

which we will determine from your requirements. All our

costs are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate, currently 20%.

Price quotations are valid for the duration of the G-Cloud 10

framework and we reserve the right to review and amend prices

beyond this framework.

Our Prices and Service Descriptions are subject to the G-Cloud

Supplier Terms and Conditions. Specific options required by your

organisation and any customisations will be priced separately.

Service specific pricing

If required, we can provide a fixed price for some of our services

once we have agreed with you the precise scope of your

requirements.

Ordering & Invoicing

Our policy is consistent with Government Digital Services (GDS)

ordering and invoicing process for G-Cloud. All our entries on the

G-Cloud are based on a pre-agreed contract with Government

to supply the service, thereby simplifying and streamlining the

procurement process.

Terms & Conditions

Our services are provided under the terms of the standard

G-Cloud 10 Framework Agreement and Call-Off Contract and we

do not require additional terms and conditions for this service.
