Simply download the FXPRIMUS MT4 for Mac from our “Plaorms Overview” page, and install it as you would with other Mac apps. Our traders on Apple can also enjoy the benefits of the MT4 plaorm on their iPhones and tablets. Trade on the new MT4 plaorm for Mac from FXPRIMUS, where safety & technology unite. INSTALLATION To install, just find the installer you downloaded earlier: “FXPRIMUS MT4.dmg”. Most likely it will be located in your “Downloads” folder. Launch the installer, then drag the “FXPRIMUS MT4” icon to “Applicaons”. This will install our MT4 app on your Mac. Launch it from Applicaons, Launchpad or via Spotlight by typing “FXPRIMUS MT4”. Once the app launches feel free to move it around in the Dock so it scks aſter being closed and you will be able to launch it from there. Tip: Your Mac should allow apps downloaded from the Mac “App Store” and “Idenfied Developers”. This isn’t the default opon but most users decide to opt in for it anyway. If this is not the case you will get the noficaon below. 02 General tab → Click the lock to make changes. 03 → Type in your Admin password to Unlock.
04 General tab → select “App Store and identified developers” in “Allow apps downloaded from” setting. Remember to lock the window again to prevent any other changes.
USAGEBelow are a few clarifications on usability of the MetaTrader 4 platform on Macs. All functionality is practically identical to the Windows version but there are a few things to keep in mind.
HOTKEYSThe “CMD” button function is triggered by the “CTRL” button when you’re using MT4 for Mac.

AUTOMATIC UPDATESThe software updates automatically similarly to the way its Windows counterpart does. Once an update happens the terminal will shut down without an obvious notification. Just open the app again and continue trading with an updated version of the terminal.
To check your current version of the terminal go to Help → About.
USING MT4 EXPERT ADVISORS ON YOUR MACIt is possible to install Expert Advisors (EAs), indicators and scripts with FXPRIMUS MT4 for Mac. To do so, you have to access file structure of the MetaTrader 4. Go to Applications, right click on the FXPRIMUS MT4 terminal and click “Show Package Contents”.
Once you’re in, navigate further to “/drive_c/Program Files/FX Primus MetaTrader 4 Terminal/MQL4/”. Then go to the folder of interest, for example /Indicators or /Experts to install your customer indicator or Expert Advisor.
Once you put the needed files in necessary folder (as per instructions of the respective indicator / EA / script), restart the MetaTrader 4 platform on your Mac and you should now see your new EA installed.
