    4 Course description

    This course introduces students to the basic concepts of population ecology relevant to contem-porary natural resource science. Prerequisites include a course in general ecology (such as FWCE301); courses in calculus (such as MATH 142) and statistics (such as A ST 311) are helpful but not

    essential.

    5 Course objectives

    Students will:

    Understand and apply basic concepts of population ecology.
