The project is being led by Michigan State University's Forest Carbon and Climate Program (MSU FCCP) in partnership with the Michigan SFI Implementation Committee. MSU FCCP research has established direct links between SFI standards and "Climate Smart Forestry" —practices that help mitigate the impacts of climate change, both through carbon sequestration and forest health. This project is supported by an SFI Conservation Grant and is part of SFI's Conservation Impact initiative, which measures and communicates conservation outcomes relative to biodiversity, carbon and climate resiliency, and water across the SFI footprint. UPCOMING REVISION TO SFI STANDARDS In September 2019, SFI will be sending out a request for SFI Standard Revision Task Group nominations. Each task group will focus on the revision of the SFI Forest Management, SFI Fiber Sourcing or SFI Chain-of-Custody and Labeling Standards. Interested in participating?
