Day 1
What is it?
Sphero is a robot ball with several features that can be controlled through mobile apps, including computer programs that the students build. The main features are:
•Rolling. The Sphero can roll at a given speed and heading for a given amount of time.
•Colors. The Sphero can light up in any color.
•Bluetooth. Sphero connects to devices such an iPads, iPhones, and Android phones and tablets through wireless Bluetooth connections. This allows the Sphero to be controlled by a number of apps.
#
Get The Sphero App while we are still in the intro!
Pair it with your device!
iOS Pairing • Remove Sphero from Induction Charger. • Shake Sphero awake. • Access iOS Bluetooth settings. • Settings -> General -> Bluetooth • Turn on Bluetooth. Wait for the device to detect Sphero. • When Sphero is detected, select it for pairing. • How long should this take? ~30 seconds, but can take up to 2
minutes.
Pair it with your device!
Android OS Pairing • Remove Sphero from Induction Charger. • Shake Sphero awake. • Access Android OS Bluetooth settings. • Settings -> Wireless Controls -> Bluetooth • Turn on Bluetooth • Tap Bluetooth Settings, then detect device. • When Sphero is discovered, select and pair. • NOTE: On Android OS, Sphero will show as paired, but will not show as active
until the Android App is downloaded from the Google Play.

HELP!If you encounter difficulty paring
Sphero, especially if you cannot find it listed in your bluetooth menu when it is on and flashing its name colors,
try restarting your device by completely turning it off and turning it back on again. This will clear the bluetooth cache and should allow
Sphero to connect.
