Most important EducationMost important Education

What is the most sophisticated gadget that you have come across in your life?

But which gadget has

created this gadget?

Do we know

all the features of this gadget

and how to access them?

Most important education is about how to use this super gadget

effectively, through which everything else in the world is achieved

Observations & Opinion on the current Observations & Opinion on the current situationsituation

Current education is highly information and memory oriented

Very less life-skill orientation Very high IQ (left brain) oriented – over emphasis only

on Intellectual Intelligence Other Intelligences like Emotional Intelligence,

Intuitive Intelligence etc. (right brain) are not recognized and developed These become very important in life as people have to work

along with other people As part of Leadership Development & Coaching,

significant part of my engagement is in teaching ‘Managing Self’ This should have been started at childhood itself But people are realizing it at the fag end of their career/life

Suggestions for Future Education Policy of Suggestions for Future Education Policy of IndiaIndia

Make the Education Holistic and Life oriented Pick up good practices from Ancient Systems and

integrate them with current system It was better aligned with the human life cycle Balya : Playfully explore the nature Kaumarya: Learn Self Mastery, ‘Managing Self’ ,

Understand the Features and Access mechanisms for this wonderful gadget that everyone has – the Body, Mind, Energy, which is the vehicle for all other external achievements

Grihasta: Managing external world Vanaprasta: Graceful and systematic transition/handover

to next generation and pursue higher wisdom Sanyasa : Final pursuit towards liberation (Mukti)

Key input for the Future Education Policy of Key input for the Future Education Policy of IndiaIndia

Introduce and Integrate ‘Managing Self’ right from early childhood education Help them to harness this super gadget called human system which

will help them to become successful in whichever area they pursue Enhanced intelligences, thinking, working together with others,

clarity of perception, …

Refer to the Appendix for Science & Technologies for ‘Managing Self’.

Good reference models for such education system Isha Samskriti :

Approach to ImplementationApproach to Implementation

To create acceptance and conviction, there will be a need to educate the modern intellects, educationists, scientists, policy makers, … about why the proposed education approach is better for the individuals, the enterprises, the society, the nation and the world at large.

Organize Research programs in prominent institutions to research and validate the efficacy of such approaches through scientific ways

There are enough evidences from modern science already and from enterprises like Google & Apple as mentioned at the end of the presentation

Widely publicize the results to educate the masses Challenge is to prevent politicization and communalization Taking a scientific route will help in that

Deployment related details can then follow

Page 11: Future Education Policy for India

11

Approach to deploymentApproach to deployment

The approaches mentioned in the input document are fine

Mode of education for ‘Managing Self’ needs to be more experiential & evidence based than just information oriented.

Human System – the most sophisticated Human System – the most sophisticated GadgetGadget

Musculo-skeletal system – solid body

Circulatory System carries fluid objects like food, water, oxygen,…

Respiratory System carries air

Nervous System carries electrical signals

Energy Centers & Channels carry Energy (like electromagnetism, which does not require a medium to propagate)

These Energy systems are called Chakras & Nadis in Indian systems like Ayurveda & Yoga

7 major Chakras and 72,000 Nadis

Page 14: Future Education Policy for India

14

Interconnection between Energy System & Physical Interconnection between Energy System & Physical SystemSystem

Chakras are situated near the key Endocrine Glands and nerve groups (plexus) Energy field in the Chakras influences the Endocrine Glands Endocrine Glands produce the enzymes/hormones which influence the emotions & body

functions Pituitary Gland is the master endocrine gland which influences all other endocrine glands

Chakras

Wireless Connection to BrainWireless Connection to Brain

Ida, Pingala, Sushumna Nadi’s – hollow pipes ending in center of the Brain called Hypothalamus

Spinal column – Meru Danda – keeping it straight – like an antenna To Realize existence beyond 5 sensors:

Increase signal strength through Nadis to Right Brain Reduce noise in Left Brain

Chakras & Nadis:

Wireless connection to brain(Nervous system is the wired connection to brain)

MeditationMeditation

Physiological level Meditation takes the brain to Alpha state: electrical impulses of 8

to 14 cycles per second At deep meditation level (Samadhi state) brain goes to Theta

state: electrical impulses of 4 to 7 cycles per second Leads to deep relaxation – deeper than sleep

Clinical research also has shown that Meditation: Activates pre-frontal cortex of brain which is the seat of higher

thinking Stimulates release of neurotransmitters including Dopamine

(antidepressant), Serotonin (self-esteem), Oxytocin (love & pleasantness), Opiates (painkillers).

With such chemistry in the body, one will get better clarity, become more self-confident, positive & joyful, which will lead to success in their chosen areas

Pranayama…Pranayama… Increases absorption of oxygen into the hemoglobin by

creating inhale pressure in lungs for osmosis E.g. Ujjai breath

Increases the removal of carbon dioxide from the blood plasma by creating exhale pressure in lungs for osmosis E.g. Bastrika pranayam 90% of toxins are expelled through breath: ~ 20,000 times per

day circulating ~ 5000 liters of air per day

Increases oxidation and liberation of energy in every cell of the body Air filter analogy in automobiles

Stimulates nerve tips in lungs which have connection to the brain area (hypothalamus) where Pituitary Gland is situated Pituitary Gland is the master gland in the endocrine system and

has a strong influence on rest of the endocrine glands, which in turn influence the thinking, emotions, and decision/choice making

YogasanasYogasanas

Yogasanas exercise different parts of the body precisely

They combine with breathing

They create flexibility and hollowness, lightness Postures: Stretch & hold Helps in flow of water, food, oxygen, electrical signals and

flow of energy in the body

They are Isometric exercises As against Isotonic exercises of aerobics, gym exercises which

help to build muscles which reduce the flexibility & become blockers over a period of time (aerobics are useful to exercise the heart)

MudraMudra

Mudras are like Energy Circuits Five Fingers have correspondence to Five Elements (Pancha Bhutas)

of Existence Thumb: Fire Pointing finger: Air Middle finger: Ether Ring finger: Earth Little finger: Water

Combinations of fingers create different energy circuits and modulate these elements in the system

Mudras move the Energy Body to different Chakras

well as in the outside world Most recent modern physics, String Theory, talks about entire

universe as being nothing but energy vibrations Sound & Thought have great effect on water

70% of human body is water Imagine the effect of Sound

Human Body as the Energy SystemHuman Body as the Energy System

Modern Science & Medicine consider human body as merely electro-chemical, electro-mechanical and physical phenomena

Ancient Indian & Eastern Spiritual Sciences consider it as an Energy System Universal Cosmic Energy (everything is common at atomic level) Yoga – union of body, mind and spirit Kriya Yoga – Chakras and Naadis Holistic Ayurveda (deals with Prakrati (nature) in total) Reiki (which means life force in Japanese; Started by Dr. Mikao

Usui a doctor and Buddhist monk during 1860s) Thai Chi, Acupressure, Acupuncture (originated in China)

Acupressure & Acupuncture was originally developed by Shukracharya (Sage of the Asuras) in India many thousands of years back

Homeopathy (Started by Dr. Hahnemann a doctor in Germany during 1800s)

Page 31: Future Education Policy for India

32

Science of Homeopathy: Medicine of Energy Science of Homeopathy: Medicine of Energy SystemSystem

Basic principle: what causes disease cures the disease also when given in the potenticized form

Homeopathic medicine preparation Potencization through the process of tritration Transfer of atomic vibrations to the base substance. Not even a

single molecule of medicinal material will be present according to Avogadro number

Curing principle Right medicine creates energy vibrations in the human system

(resonance principle) This increases the energy level to improve the health conditions Typically causes initial aggravation and subsequently cures with

oscillations Cures inside-out: Mind Emotional level Physical level

Mind & Emotional symptoms are the key for diagnosis

FoodFood

Right foods are identified based on the Energy constitution rather than just physical nutritional qualities like protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, …

Foods with positive Pranic Energy Ashguard, Fruits, Nuts, Honey, Coconut,…

Foods with neutral Pranic Energy Potato, Tomato

Foods with negative Pranic Energy Onion, Garlic, Asephoteda, Brinjal, Coffee, Tea, Chilli, …

Food in cold storage has low pranic energy It’s best to eat cooked food before 2 hours after cooking
