The FUSE Product Development Clinics provide advice and support to Crafts Council of
Ireland clients who have developed craft related product for consumer markets and will
have a particular emphasis on providing support to clients participating in Creative Island at
Showcase, Irelands Creative Expo.
Cl in ic Object ives
• Provide practical advice on product development to CCoI clients for commercial
markets to include: Trends, design, production, new technologies, packaging,
branding, marketing, costing, margins, merchandising.
• Help to develop well designed commercial products for retail at appropriate price
points.
• Assist client enterprises to identify gaps in the market and respond to market
trends.
• Learn how to build media interest in your brand.
In order to maximize the benef it of the c l in ics we ask that you
br ing as much of the fol lowing as poss ib le on the day:
• Your range of products - please bring as many as is feasible, for large work i.e.
furniture, bring images of your product
• Your product descriptors
• Sample press release and your biography or artist statement
• Sample photos that you use for promotional purposes
• Your packaging and brand identity
• Your retail and wholesale price lists-domestic and international
• Any ticketing, artwork, or labeling
• A product similar to yours with branding/packaging you think works
