your work plan. Writing a grant proposal

requires you to think in depth about the

way your cause works. In the process of

writing your grant proposal you will gather

the needed information such as your

budget, job descriptions, and a very clearly

    communicated description of your work

    and its projected impact.

    Keep a Clear Funding Head.

Like your earned revenue projections, your

    contributions projections dont come from

what you need, but from what people will

give. This is why it is so important to cover

this in your research phase. Most new

and one of the most common errors is

    building your contributions projections

based on what you need, not what is really

    available for your cause.

Heres a great piece to inspire you to

    examine your messages.

In 2011, public charities reportedover$1.59 trillion in totalrevenues. Of the revenue:

22% came from contributions, gifts and government grants. 72% came from program service revenues, which include

    government fees and contracts.

6% came from "other" sources including dues, rental income, special event income, and gains or losses from goods sold.
