Philippe Starck 'Juicy Salif' 1990

Susan Alinsangan 'Ipod' 2003

Shigeru Miyamoto 'Mario' 1981

This design of ‘Juicy Salif’ uses vertical line to symbolise the strength of the juicer, this appeals to consumers.

Widely length vertical legs provide strength to the appearance and the use of the product.

Mario is a 3D shaped character that is in a smaller form. The shape of the character is more rounded and circular which potentially symbolises the harmony, tenderness, love, affection, safety, care, support and friendship of Marios portrayed persona.

The ‘ipod’ poster uses negative space to create shape. The use of colour divides the image up highlighting negative space and making it more apparent. The use of the black (negative space) is 45, leaving the remainder of positive space 45 and the accent as 10. 45/45/10.
