The National Council for Cooperative Training (NCCT), New Delhi, a fully grant-in-aid Institution of the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare, Govt.

of India, is responsible for execution of Cooperative Training, Research and Management Education through Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM), Pune and other 19 Institutes of Cooperative Management / Regional

Institutes of Cooperative Management.

VAMNICOM established in Pune, plays an important role for imparting training, skill up-gradation, management education programme for the overall development of agriculture and cooperative sectors in the country. The Institute

organizes international, national and local level training and academic programmes on various areas of agriculture, agri-business and cooperative management. The Savitribai

Phule Pune University and Symbiosis International University, Pune have recognized VAMNICOM for undertaking research work leading to the award of Ph.D. degree in Management, in general, and Cooperative Management, in

particular. Besides conducting management development training programmes in various functional areas of management, the Institute has three long duration

programmes viz. (a)Post Graduate Diploma in Management–Agri-Business Management (PGDM-ABM) which is equivalent to MBA degree for fresh graduates (b) Diploma in Cooperative Business Management (DCBM) programme for in-service

officers working in cooperatives and (c) Diploma in Management of Computer Operations (DMCO) for middle level and operational level managers in the cooperatives.

The quality of PGDM-ABM programme and 100 % placement record of the ABM students have placed VAMNICOM amongst the top-ranked Agri-Business schools in the

country. DCBM programme is five decades old that caters to the training needs of in-service officers in the cooperatives. The recently launched Diploma in Management of

Computer Operations aims at empowering middle-level officers of cooperatives for operational expertise in IT operations. The Institute also undertakes research projects sponsored by various State governments and also engages in consultancy services for

various sectors of cooperatives viz., banking, sugar, and dairy for IT implementation, recruitment of qualified professional manpower, defining job responsibilities of manpower

in IT departments. The Institute has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with various Institutions in India and neighboring countries for maximising organization of exchange training programmes and undertaking various academic activities pertaining to

management and development of cooperatives.

The Institute possesses a state of the art infrastructure and provides a conducive

environment for Management Education and Training. Through constant interaction with various sectors of cooperatives, the Institute has been able to fulfill various training requirements of the cooperatives in the country. The Institute is marching ahead for

achieving a Centre of Excellence status for the management education and training in the country’s agriculture, agri-business and cooperative sector.

To strengthen the faculty strength, in the Centre for Management Education of VAMNICOM, Pune, it is proposed to fill in following faculty (adjunct) positions on contract

basis:

Production ( Food Processing), Finance (Financial Inclusion, Risk

Management, Derivatives), General Management.

- Should possess Ph.D. Degree in relevant subject or equivalent experience

in industry/ research /training with the organization of National repute.

- Should have a good academic record.

- Publications in reputed journals/ books will be given preference.

Experience:

Requisite Industrial/Research/Teaching/training experience.

- Age should not be below 45 years and not to exceed 65 years.

2. Associate

Professor

- Should possess full time Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma with minimum

55% marks under the subject area viz:

Economics/Cooperation/Commerce /Business Administration,

Information Technology/Law, Agriculture/Agri-Economics, Rural


Production ( Food Processing), Finance (Financial Inclusion,

Risk Management, Derivatives), General Management.

- Should possess Ph.D. Degree in relevant subject

- Should possess a good academic record

- Publications in reputed journals/ books will be given preference

Experience:

- Requisite teaching/Training/Research/Extension experience.

- Age should not exceed 50 years.

3. Assistant

- Preference would be given to Ph.D. holder in relevant subject.

- Publications in reputed journals will be given preference

and having good Academic records.


- Preference will be given for Research Experience in the area of

Information Technology, Cooperative Training, Management

Development Prog., Cooperative Research & Policy .

Emoluments:

Other Terms & Conditions:

1. The contractual appointment would be made initially for a period of one year

and may be extendable annually for a further period upto a maximum of three (3) years subject to the requirement of the Institute and satisfactory performance of the incumbent to be reviewed on yearly basis.

2. The contractual appointment carries a maximum of 30 days paid leave

in a year in addition to weekend and gazetted holidays. 3. The appointment will be made on contractual basis and no claim for permanent

absorption in VAMNICOM will be entertained.

4. The persons appointed on contract basis shall not be entitled for any pension or other terminal benefits for the services rendered by him/her on contract basis.

5. The incumbent will not be allowed to accept any outside assignment.

6. The Institute reserves the right to cancel/increase/decrease the number of posts without assigning any reason thereof.

7. No correspondence will be entertained with the candidates, who are not called for interview/selected for appointment.
