Food: There will be a food booth with lunch, snacks and drinks available for pur-

chase. There is also a variety of restaurants nearby that you could pick up a quick

lunch.

Vendors: There is no fee for vendors, however we appreciate a donation to the

club or for the raffle table. Plan to set up outdoors, and bring a canopy. RSVP with

our show manager in advance.

Raffle Table: Please bring something for this! Tickets will be drawn during the lunch

break.

Poultry Costume Contest: Free! Dress up your birds! Fun prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd

Poultry Agility Course: Free for kids and adults.

Kids Craft Table: small materials fee for kids

Youth and Adult Showmanship & Avian Bowl: Open to SVPC exhibitors

only. No additional fees. Register in the morning at check in. No uniforms

required, dress should be neat and clean for showmanship. Classes: Pri-

mary 5-8, Junior 9-11 , Intermediate 12-14, Senior 15-17, Adult 18 and up.

All poultry, 6 months and older, that is listed in the American Poultry Association and the

American Bantam Association , Standards of Perfection may be entered. This is an APA and

ABA sanctioned show. Our purpose is to promote small farms, small Agricultural related busi-

nesses and the fun of raising exhibition poultry!

We will not have individual cages set up for birds. We will have a row of judging cages

and birds will be called up one class at a time for judging. This is the same way that rabbits

are judged. Please make sure that your birds will be comfortable in their carriers for a few

hours. Exhibitors are responsible for the care of their birds.

Bird Judge is Donita Blalock, Licensed APA, ABA Judge. Ms Blalock will judge both the

Open and Youth birds. All judging will be by the latest edition of the American Standard of

Perfection, Copyrighted by the APA inc.

Open Show APA Awards: A minimum of 5 Master Exhibitor Award points to any qualified

win at this show. Open Show: APA ribbons for the following Class Champions: Large Chick-

ens---American, Asiatic, English, Mediterranean, Continental, All Other Standard Breeds.

Bantam Chickens----Modern Game, Old English Game, Single Comb Clean Legged, Rose

Comb Clean Legged, Feather Legged, All Other Comb Clean Legged. Ducks---Heavy, Me-

dium, Light and Bantam. Geese---Heavy, Medium and light. Turkeys------Guinea Fowl. Spe-

cial APA medals for Show Champion and Show Reserve.

Junior Show Awards: APA ribbon for the following Champions: Large Chicken, Bantam

Chicken, Duck, Goose, Turkey and Guinea Fowl.

Application for Membership to the APA may be made at the Show or may be sent to the

APA, but must be made prior to judging to be eligible for APA Awards. The APA invites you

to be a member. Annual dues are: $20.00 for 1 year, $50.00 for 3 years, $25.00 for 1 year,

outside the U.S.A and Canada. Junior dues (18 and under) $15.00 a year or $40.00 for 3

years. Endowment Trust Life Membership is $365.00. All Annual and ETL members are receive

our Year Book and are eligible to win points toward a Master Exhibitor award.

ABA Special Meet Awards: Champion Ribbons to Champion and Reserve Champion

Bantam. $1 Bantam Buck for Champion and Reserve for all seven bantam divisions provid-

ing there are a minimumof 25 birds competing, plus a free listing in the upcoming ABA Year-

book in the section Who's Who inBantams.

Star pin plus $1 Bantam Buck for Champion and Reserve Champion in all other classes of

100 or more, plus a listing in the upcoming yearbook section Who's Who in Bantams.

All wins in Classes of 100 or more will be denoted with a Star* and be retained in the ABA

records to accumulate towards the Master Exhibitor, Master Breeder, and Lifetime Achieve-

ment Awards.

Only ABA members are eligible to compete for the above awards.

Starred wins are earned in classes of 100 or more in the following:

Champions and Reserve Champions in the seven bantam divisions

Best and Reserve of breed and variety

Best display when 7 or more bantam displays are shown

Best and Reserve Display when 10 or more bantam displays are shown.

Best and Reserve Trio with 30 or more trios shown by 4 or more exhibitors.

A single bird is eligible for only one award and can earn only one starred win.

The Show is judged according to the Proposed APA Egg Competition. Eggs are judged in Open

and Youth. Exhibit is a group of 3. These will be on a plate (provided by the Show) Eggs must

be from hens owned by the Exhibitor. Only natural eggs will be judged in this Show. Eggs must

not be more than 5 days old (counting Day of Show). Please note if eggs are fertile. Classes are

as follows: Large Eggs, Bantam Eggs, Waterfowl Eggs, Non-Standard (These are from birds not

listed in the APA standard of perfection. Can include commercial strains, game birds, Emus

etc.) Egg exhibit qualifies exhibitor for showmanship (Youth or Adult).

The Wild West Serama Club is hosting the Serama Tabletop Show.

All entries for the Serama Show are taken through an online entry form.

GENERAL SHOW RULES 1. Competition in the show is open to all. 2. All entries must be accompanied by payment. Entry fees will not be refunded if you do not show up. 3. All entries received in the showroom must have leg bands, if you do not have leg bands, you may purchase some at the event for 25¢ each 4. Any bird showing evidence of infectious or contagious disease will be removed from the show and isolated. 5. Each exhibitor or their representative will be responsible for feeding and watering their birds. 6. No persons other than show mgmt and the judge may handle exhibits without the permission of the owner. 7. The judge’s decision will be final. 8. The Wild West Serama Club will put forth all effort to ensure the safety of, but not be responsible for the loss or accident to any birds or persons during the show. 9. “The Photographer’s Right”; by entering birds, you have agreed to allow Wild West Serama Club to use photographs taken by WWSC photographers or members for advertising/ promotion on websites and publications. 10. Cocks & Hens are birds over 12 months of age. Cockerels and Pullets are birds under 12 months of age. Prospect Males/Females are birds, less than 6 mo. old, hatched after 10/28/17. TABLETOP JUDGING FORMAT Youth Classes (ages 17 and under): Cock, Hen, Cockerel, Pullet Open Classes: Cock, Hen, Cockerel, Pullet, Ayam Combined Youth/Open classes: Prospect Male, & Prospect Female All feather varieties, smooth, frizzled, and silkied will be shown together in the above classes. Tier 1: Birds will be judged individually, according to the scorecard. Birds will have 60- 80 seconds on the table in front of the judge. Exhibitors will place their bird on the table, have 5-10 seconds to pose their bird, then they must step to outside the judging area until judging is completed. Tier 2: Top scorers in each class will be brought back to be judged against one another. A champion and reserve will be named for each class.
