Mission Statement of First United Methodist Church of Midlothian:

“Servants of God meeting the needs of others through the love of Jesus Christ”


History: July of 2004 – The Church voiced its desire to progress the Jo Stephenson Challenge into a Capital Fund Campaign.

The “Heritage of Faith Continues” is the result of that desire.

Purpose: To reduce the debt being carried by the Church.

Goal: To gather commitments that total $500,000 over the next three years.

These pledges are over and above our current giving to the Church.

All funds gathered in the Capital Campaign will be applied to the principal of our current loans.


All pledges/commitments are confidentialOnly the amount given will be reported

on the personal quarterly statement supplied by the Church. Pledge/commitment amount will not be reported.

The total amount given in the Capital Campaign will be reported monthly to the Church.
