Full Bubble Filling

Full bubble filling The OMR sheet is a document that is normally used for tests that have multiple-choice questions. Hence, every question usually has four to five bubbles on the OMR sheet. The candidate or student has to shade these bubbles with a pencil or pen. These days, you may also find OMR test papers where you have to tick mark the correct option. However, this is done only when the examination board uses the latest OMR reader. In case of the old technology, the candidates are expected to do full bubble filling either with a dark pencil (HB) or a black/blue ball-point pen. The reason that people are expected to fill the entire bubble is because the OMR reader is attuned to record dark marks on the sheet. Most examination board provides clear instructions according to which the student or candidate has to fill the bubbles completely. Half-filled bubbles would not be accepted as the OMR reader may not be able to read these marks. Having said that, the student also has to make sure that while filling, he/she does not fill outside the bubble, spreading it to the other bubbles on its sides. This can also confuse the OMR reader. As the OMR software reads dark marks, make sure that you do not write or mark anywhere other than these bubbles. For instance, do not do any rough work on the paper. This may cause you to lose marks. Apart from that, you have to remember that it is not possible to correct your mistakes on OMR sheets until you have used pencil, in which case you should use a good eraser. However, make sure to erase all marks from the bubble, as some advanced OMR readers can read even light marks. In case you are using pen, mark a bubble only when you are 100% sure about the answer. Most examination boards do not allow the use of whitener on the sheets. Technology has given rise to OMR systems that can record light marks, half filled bubbles and even tick marks. However, you as a student will not know what kind of software the examination committee is using. Hence, it would be best to play it safe and do full bubble filling . Always read the instructions given on the answer sheet before you start filling the sheet.

The OMR sheet is a document that is normally used for tests that have multiple-choice questions.
