Vitosol 200 vacuum tube collectors are available in the following
versions:& 2 m 2 with 20 pipes& 3 m 2 with 30 pipes
The Vitosol 200 can be installed on pitched roofs, flat roofs or on
walls.
On pitched roofs the collectors may be positioned longitudinally(tubes at right angles to the ridge of the roof) or across (tubes par-
allel to the ridge of the roof).
The vacuum in the glass tubes ensures optimum heat insulation.
Convection losses between the glass tube and the absorber are
almost completely eliminated. This enables the utilisation of even
low radiation levels (diffused radiation).
A So l-t ita nium coat ed c opper abso rber is buil t i nto each vacu um
tube. It ensures high absorption of solar radiation and low emis-
sion of thermal radiation.
A coaxi al heat exchange r p ipe, thro ugh which t he p roce ss med-
ium flows, is arranged on the absorber. The process medium picks
up the heat from t he absorber via the heat exchanger pipe.
The heat exchanger pipe feeds into a distributor pipe.
In order to fully utilise t he solar energy, every vacuum tube is able
to pivot so that the absorber can be turned towards the sun.Up to 6 m2 collector surface can be joined in parallel and a further
6 m 2 collector surface can be joined, in series, to form a collector
array (collector arrays arranged in series should be of the same
size).
For this purpose, the standard delivery includes flexible connect-
ing pipes with O-rings.
The flow and return pipes integrated into the connection housing
enable the connection of solar flow and solar return pipes on one
side, when joining several collectors.
A kit with lock ing ring fit tin gs enabl es the coll ector a rray to be
readily joined to the pipes of the solar circuit. Install the collector
temperature sensor into a sensor well in the flow pipe of the solar
heating circuit.
Benefits
& Highly efficient, direct flow vacuum tube collector.& Universal application through vertical or horizontal installation
in any location, either on rooftops or on walls.& Easy and reliable connection of individual tubes through a new
and innovative plug-in system& The absorber surfaces, which are integrated into the vacuum
tubes, are not susceptible to contamination.
& Tubes can be rotated for optimum orientation towards the sun,
thereby maximising the energy yield.& Highly effective thermal insulation of the header casing for mini-
mum thermal losses.& Easy assembly through the Viessmann fixing system and corru-
gated stainless steel plug-in connectors.& The flow and return connection on one side through the integral
header inside the header casing minimises the pipework effort.& Attract ive coll ector design, conn ect ing cham ber in RAL 8019
(brown).

Decisive when applying for subsidies.*2Decisive when sizing the system.*3Relative to the absorber surface area.*4The collectors must be pressurised in cold, sealed systems with at least 1.5 bar.*5The idle temperature is the temperature which occurs at the hottest part of the collector at 1000 W global radiation strength if no heat is
drawn off.
