  • What is the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP)? As part of the new Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), charter schools, school districts and county offices of education are required to develop and annually update a three-year Local Control and Accountabil-ity Plan (LCAP), beginning in July 1, 2014, using a template adopted by the California State Board of Education. The LCAP must focus on eight areas identified as state priorities. The plans will also demonstrate how the charter schools budget will help achieve the goals, and assess how well the strategies in the plans were able to improve student outcomes. We need your assistance and input. LCAP Parent Meeting Fortune School will hold a meeting on May 13 at 5:00 pm for the purpose of obtaining your input on the LCAP. Interested parents should attend. Parents who serve on School Site Council, as well as other parent groups should plan to attend and sign in. LCAP Posting It is our intent to post the LCAP on the Fortune School website once it has been approved by the Fortune School Board of Directors in June, 2015.
