He prepares the best food for them, gives them shade to rest in, and washes their feet. And it turns out they’re not just any visitors; they’re angels, and one is God himself! Wow! Bible Point: Kindness is a fruit of the Spirit. “But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!” (Galatians 5:22-23). Talk About This… Tell about someone you wish would visit your house and how you would show that person kindness. Family Together Time Invite someone to your home for dinner this week. Get everyone involved in the meal preparation in some way. Have your kids think of ways to show kindness to your visitor, and do them. When your visitor arrives, shower kindness on them! Let your child explain to your visitor that kindness is a fruit of the Spirit. During this time when lots of people are stuck at home, how can you reach out to someone who is feeling extra lonely? Think of someone who might enjoy receiving A call A note or card in the mail Flowers or other small gift Facetime chat or video greeting from you! Suggested Project for this week Because of COVID-19, people in nursing homes and senior living centers cannot have people come to visit them. Take some time this week to make cards or draw pictures, and then have your grown up deliver them to a senior center near you.
