Winter Wonderland Weekends - Nov. 30 - Dec. 31

Following Thanksgiving, The New York State Zoo is transformed into a holiday wonderland! Businesses,

community organizations, and individuals from around the North Country come together to transform the

Zoo with holiday lights. Each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, beginning in December, the Zoo will open its

doors during the nighttime hours to provide visitors with an opportunity to explore this illuminated land-

scape. In addition, each weekend will feature a variety of activities for the entire family.

Kris Kringle Market at Thousand Islands Winery - Dec. 1 Meet us in the loft above the tasting room for fun for the whole family! There will be lots of local craft ven-

dors to help you with your Christmas shopping, lots of great breakfast and lunch food, mulled spiced wine

for the grown ups and Santa Clause to entertain the kids. This is an indoor event so everyone will be warm.

You and your family don't want to miss this Thousand Islands Winery holiday Tradition

Holiday HullabaZOO - Dec. 8 Holiday HullabaZoo is a fun way to celebrate the holidays at the New York State Zoo. This festive event fea-

tures cookie decorating, holiday stories by the fireplace, ornament making, and more. Children will also have

an opportunity to make special gifts for the creatures in our care. Plus, no holiday event would be complete

without the opportunity to get your picture taken with Santa Claus! We’ll also have free donuts and hot co-

coa to keep you warm!

All of these activities are free with a per person donation of a non-perishable food or personal care item or a

new unwrapped toy. This event not only benefits the New York State Zoo, but two of the North Country’s

key charitable organizations: the Marine Toys for Tots and the food pantry of the CAPC of Jefferson County,

which assists the members of our community who need it most.

How can I help out? Does your group (FRG, Bunco, Zumba, Book Club, etc) want to decorate a wreath or tree? It’s

simple, you decorate and donate!

How should I decorate my tree? How ever you like! Use your tree to express the creativity of your group!

When is my tree or wreath due? 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at The Commons on December 1.

What happens to the money? This money will be split between to the two groups’ scholarship and welfare funds!

Where can I get my tree or wreath? North Country Spouses’ Club members can pick up a 3 ft. tree or medium

wreath at the clubs’ November luncheons. We also welcome donated trees and wreaths from organizations outside

our membership. If your organization would like to purchase their own tree simply buy a tree or wreath of ANY

SIZE and decorate it.

What do I need to bring that day? You need to bring anything that will make your tree/wreath work properly

(extension cords, wreath stands etc.) these items will not be provided for you by North Country Spouses’ Club.

The North Country Spouses’ Club Invites

you to participate in the first annual wreath & tree auction!
