Kara Girvan 2 Smith Crescent Orford, Warrington WA2 8EN Dear Sir/Madame, I am writing to apply for the job role ‘Front of House’ that I have recently come across as I am currently looking for a job in the Theatre Production industry. This is a job in which I would love to pursue my passion for Theatre in. I have a lot of past experience in theatre work as I have studies both Performing Arts and Production arts BTEC in college with the average grade of a Merit in both subjects. I know the basics of putting on a show and how the show runs from having experience from college. I have previously took part in the Winter Showcase production at Priestley College, in this my role was a ‘Runner’ meaning I have the responsibility of getting and making sure the next act were ready to go onto stage, I had to be organised and also not just take on my role as I was part of a team so I had to think on my feet and try and take on other roles too for example ‘Dresser’ helping to ensure that the show ran smoothly. Aside from what I have recently studied in college I have also been in graded performances with the organisation Trinity College and received two awards at the levels Pass and Merit. I am a confident, outgoing and creative person all of which I think the role of Front of House requires as you need to be outgoing and confident for the visitors of the theatre to have faith in what information you tell them but also you need to be friendly for them to feel comfortable in approaching you, I think I cover those qualities. I am very creative in anything I set my mind too, as I have previously studied art as well so arrangements and overall appearance would be something else that I would excel in. My current job is working as a sales assistant in Clarks, Mothercare World. With this I have gained customer service skills with both adults and children having to build such a close relationship with the customer having to get to know them and build a trustworthy relationship with them so they are confident in what I tell them and

Dear Sir/Madame,

I am writing to apply for the job role ‘Front of House’ that I have recently come across as I am currently looking for a job in the Theatre Production industry.

With this I have gained customer service skills with both adults and children having to build such a close relationship with the customer having to get to know them and build a trustworthy relationship with them so they are confident in what I tell them and what I am doing also that I am doing it to the best of my abilities to cater for their needs. Precision is key in the job that I am in currently as I need to measure the Childs foot length and width to get the correct fit for the customer to be happy with the job that I have done and for them to have trust in me, I think this relates to the Front of House role as you need to leave a good impression on the visitor and also make sure they are happy and safe at all times.

Overall I think that I could bring a lot of experience to your team and also great qualities and I would love to be considered for the job.

Best Regards,

Kara Girvan
