State & Legislative Rep…..State & Legislative Rep…..State & Legislative Rep…..State & Legislative Rep….. I have been working on a list of all Federal and State Senators and Representatives, as well as Members of the local County Boards to be put on our web site. Please watch for it on www.Peo-Taz.Com. ABATE of Illinois is selling cash raf'le tickets. Prizes are 1st place, $3000; 2nd place, $1500, and 3rd place, $500. Winner will be drawn at the State Seminar in January, 2017. I will be selling them at each meeting through December. The Primary Elections are March 15, 2016. See the State ABATE Newsletter for Politician ratings. All the politicians up for re-election are favorable to ABATE except Cheri Bustos. Iurgeyoutovoteandvoteyourconscience.

The proclamations have been updated and are ready to be sent out to the surrounding Cities, Villages anCounties again this year. I will be sending these out the end of February 2016 this will give the locations time to schedule a time for them to be presented or signed and returned to the Chapter. If there is anyone interested in helping with these again this year there is a signup sheet on the side table. Last year we sent them out to 14 different locations and they were all returned. This year I will be adding a few new locations to make sure that all of the surrounding areas are covered. At the State Seminar this year I presented two separate breakout sessions on Public Relations, one on the how to tools and the other one on Social Media Do’s and Don’ts. I also attended the breakout session on Lobbying in Washington DC to assist Elizabeth Winters in providing the details on my trip to Washington DC to lobby. The last one I attended was How to run a successful meeting, presented by Ryan Hubbard and he talked about making Motions, discussions and voting on the same. I truly enjoyed this year’s State Seminar and learned a lot. Thanks for your support for allowing me to attend. RememberthatUnitedweRideandDividedweDrive

This year has already claimed the lives of two of our Brothers locally, “Spam" from Blooming-
ton, Randy Houston who lived in Spring Bay.. These were good Brothers, and our hearts and prayers
go out to Marcy, Patty and their whole families. They both meant so much to our local family of bik-
ers. The Good News is that both of these Brothers had put their faith and trust in the Lord in recent
days, so they are happily dancing and rejoicing with their Savior in Heaven! Halleluiah for His Amaz-
ing Grace! “Amazing Grace, How sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me. I once was
lost, but now I'm found; was blind, but now I see.” This Easter will see two more voices
added to The Heavenly Choir!

Hello all! Spring is coming! Soon some of us will 'ind out if all that holiday eating will prompt bigger chaps. Many notches may be in need of adjusting. Thank you all for sending us to the seminar again this year. I went to the P.R. class put on by our very own Shirley Lacock. For those of you who have ever attended these break out ses-sions you know she does an awesome job. I of course went to the membership class and also at-tended the safety and ed. class. There was a lot of information and ideas exchanged. So again thank you all for sending us. A reminder to all, please after reading your newsletter hang it up at a local place of your choosing. We already paid for the printing; let’s get all the bang for our buck! At the last meeting we gave the free membership award to Shirley & Jim Lacock. Congratu-lations. The state gives out this award to any one person or couple who signs up 10 or more new members in a year. Anyone can do this, and it is a great way to build our membership. Shirley & Jim are also the winners of most members signed up for our chapter. The prize is $50.00 which will be presented to them at the next meeting. Great job! Deanna Whittaker, our Products Director, is working hard on getting us new and cool shirts and what not. It reminded me of how my mother was walking at the mall, and a man ap-proached her about her sweatshirt. He said he had heard of it, but what was A.B.A.T.E.? So it got me thinking if you don’t already have in the back of your head some kind of a short version to tell someone, or you are not blessed with the gift of gab (like some I know), make sure to have some membership forms on you. If you can’t make it to a meeting to pick some up, email me and I will be happy to send you some. As of February 1st 2016 we have 248 active members. That is down from last month but up by 13 from this time last year. We had 3 new members sign up with us in January they are JohnThomas ToniThomas JohnKrietemeyer

Did you enjoy your motorcycle ride knowing that you can CHOOSE whether or not to wear a helmet?
Do you like stopping for gas & not being FORCED to use E-15?
Wasn’t it nice that you didn’t run into a motorcycle ONLY checkpoint?
How about when that red light wouldn't change in 120
seconds? Pretty nice to proceed as if you were at a stop sign, wasn’t it?
Just a few things that A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois has
accomplished or is holding at bay. No need to say thank you. Thank us by joining us & being a part of the
Best Motorcycle Rights Organization in the country!

Riding season is quickly approaching and so are the rides and bene'its. ABATE puts out a pretty inclusive calendar, but there are rides and bene'its that don’t make that calendar and also don’t get scheduled until later in the season. In an effort to allow everyone equal opportunity to get their ride/bene'it out to the public, we have set up a Facebook page that everyone has access to. The address is: www.facebook.com/ridesCI and is called “Rides & Bene'its in Central IL”. This page is
designed for anyone to be able to add their event and be able to get in and edit it anytime they need to.
Please go to this page and “like” it so you can keep up on what is going on in the area. Be sure to share
the page and add as many events as you know about. We would like see each of the events from the
calendar added as well, but don’t want to have to do that on our own. If each event would assign
someone to post the event and keep it updated, that would be a tremendous help to us and would
reach and remind multitudes of people as more people follow and share the page.
Please remember the Peo-Taz website as well. The web address is www.peo-taz.com and we
are working to keep that page updated with recent pictures and upcoming membership
events. If you have any questions or problems, please give me a call or drop me an email, and
I will get back to you ASAP. We are doing what we can to help get the word out about
everything going on in Central IL and appreciate your help in accomplishing that goal.
