Please join us in congratulating our parish's High School Graduates and in praying that they seek out God's will for their lives As we connue our 180 Message Series, this weekend we are tak- ing a look at a turnaround we are all in need of, from a selfish way of thinking to being willing to sac- rifice for the greater glory of God. We live in a culture where there’s a predominant “What’s in it for me?” mentality. As followers of Je- sus, we are challenged to imitate the generosity of the Lord who gave everything for love of us. We all know people who are generous, who give of themselves in so many ways to others. I know many such people and there is one thing that sets them apart from others. They have a joy that is contagious. They have learned the secret to happiness, a secret that can help us to make this turnaround in our lives. True happiness is found not in what we have. Rather, lasng happiness comes when we give ourselves in genuine love to others and to the Lord. This 180 turnaround from selfishness to selfless sacrifice can help us embrace the Stewardship way of life. We will be less selfish with our me and give more me to the Lord in prayer. We will be less selfish with our God given talents and share them more generously with our parish and community. We will be less selfish with our financial resources and com- mit to offering a regular sacrificial griſt in support of our parish and those who are most in need.
