December 2, 2014 From Pastor Allan Eakin What is Haskell Community Holiday House? HCHH is a opportunity for Haskell residents and their friends to do a little Christmas shopping AND help Harmony Grove Schools. Where did this idea come from? A few weeks ago, Brandi Garner approached your pastor about hosting an event that would allow direct sellers, like Premier Jewelry, Jamberry Nails, and Thirty-One, use the CBC building for a Holiday House type event. Several communities and schools do this as a fundraiser for the sponsoring organization. Before the idea could be fully discussed, the event exploded with potential vendors and a bigger building was needed before it even got off the ground. Harmony Grove Schools volunteered their Multipurpose Room. When is Haskell Community Holiday House? HCHH is set for Friday, Dec. 12 (6:00-9:pm) and Saturday, Dec. 13 (9:00am-6:00 pm). What are the other important details? Harmony Grove Schools is the big winner from this event. A portion of vendor booth rental fees and all of the admission fees will go directly to Harmony Grove Schools. Here is a link to the event page http://tinyurl.com/p8wmktz. Why should you support the event by volunteering? One of the core values of Celebration, from its inception, has been community involvement. This is yet another opportunity to be involved in our community. The goal is serving. The benefit could be conversations with people, moving them closer to Jesus. A sign-up sheet is posted in the CBC Welcome Center for you to sign-up to volunteer. Looking forward, Allan Please Note . . . AWANA Clubs will enjoy a regular club night on Wednesday, December 3rd. Real Life Student Ministry will have a regular group night.
