What is the Cycle of Analysis?
This is a four stage process designed to maximise the performance improvement of a player, i.e. to help you get better.

Improving Performance
The aim of any serious performer is to improve performance.
Why?
To achieve a goal or target that has been set either by yourself or by a teacher or coach, e.g. Learning a new skill; improving a skill or technique to be more effective in an activity.
How?
In order to develop your performance effectively you must:
Consider the demands/requirements of your activity
Form a clear impression of the current factors that impact your performance (Fitness, Skill, Decision Making, Team Dynamic etc)
Identify your strengths and development needs in the activity.
What for? To make training specific and appropriate for your levels of skill & fitness.
Understanding how to apply the Cycle of Analysis - The Process
How will you gathered data on your current performance levels?
What do you need to work on first to improve your performance?
What approach(es) will you use in your Personal Development Plan (PDP)?
How will you record progress throughout your PDP?
How will you monitor whether improvements have taken place?
