Good afternoon Luke Re: Telephone call – – New Acland A DES officer telephoned on 8 February.The following were discussed.

- I stated that the decision maker for the final decision on the New Acland environmental authority had all the information theyare required to consider under the Environmental Protection Act 1994 and that the Department of Environment and Sciencewas required to make a decision on the environmental authority by 14 February 2018.- wished to express her opinion that she hoped the department would uphold the land court recommendation onthe matter and spoke very highly of Land Court Member Smith. This opinion included Member Smith being athorough and reasonable person. ACTION COMPLETE.
