After the project meeting in Turkey ... at school

Dissemination – our director Alena Barancová, teachers Martina Boratková and Elvíra Pillárová presented the results of the first project meeting in Konya in Turkey. The article was published in our local newspaper called Tempo: ZŠ Malinovského in Europe.

Velvet revolution 1989In November 1989 students in Czechoslovakia manifestated in the streets. They wanted to demonstrate their disagreement with the communism. This peaceful manifestation led to the fall of communist government.

In January 1993, Czech and Slovak republic were born.

Our Art techniquePuppets made of corn leaves are traditional folk products. They describe scenes from the country life. We made these traditional puppets from crepe paper. We used crepe paper of the various colours, wire, cotton wool, thread, scissors, glue, decorations.

Christmas workshopEach year our school organizes Christmas workshop. Teachers, pupils and their parents work together to make traditional Christmas souvenirs (postcards, decorations) or meals (gingerbreads, waffles, punch).

This year we also demonstrated our partners´ art techniques: stained glass, calligraphy, masks and weaving. See article in local newspaper: „Christmas workshop and international relationships“.

Christmas playThe last school day before holidays our teacher Martina Boratkova and her pupils from theatre workshop performed a Christmas play. Actors used traditional Romanian masks and the result was perfect, see the photos.

Comenius medalsAfter the play, the students were awarded special

medals for their participation in Comenius Christmas

workshop. On one side we put a logo of the project

and on the other the flag of the country and art

technique.

We enjoyed a lot all activities we did

thanks to our project. We look forward to

the next theme : History. We hope it will

help us get to know better and prepare our

first big meeting in Partizánske.
