Frog Metamorphosis

Now lets learn about each stage in detail!

Stage 1: Egg Mass

Frogs lay lots of eggs at one time.

Each egg is covered in a jellylike coating.

Stage 2: Tadpole

Tadpoles have gills for breathing underwater; like a fish

Tadpoles have a tail instead of legs

Stage 3: Young Frog

Young frogs begin to develop lungs for breathing outside of the water

Legs begin to form so the frog can live on land

Stage 4: Adult Frog

The gills and the tail disappear and the frog is ready to live on land!
