Medical Marijuana

We just got our lottery machines in to perform our September 20th lottery for

medical marijuana sites. The lottery process is being finalized with the help ofTechnology Services and the City Clerk’s Office. The lottery will be held onMonday, September 20th at 3:00pm in the Council Chambers. It will be open tothe public and will also be televised on the local access channel. The purposeof the lottery is to provide an objective selection process for potential collectivesthat are within 1,000 feet of another collective and/or cultivation site. Keeping inmind, the ordinance does not allow for marijuana sites to be within 1,000 feet ofanother site. This process is being taken very seriously and the BusinessRelations Bureau is implementing the lottery with the utmost integrity, objectivityand fairness.

Orange County 9/11 Ride

On Saturday, once again, more than a thousand motorcyclists will ride acrossOrange County and along the coast for this year’s 9/11 Remembrance Ride.Remember last year when this ride created much drama for the City Manager ofLaguna Woods!
