AreasofapplicationEPDMcanbeusedforalmostallsealingproducts.Withashareofabout70%,itisthemostwidelyusedmaterialforthefoodandbeverageproductionandprocessing–espe-ciallytheperoxide-curedtypes.CertainEPDM-materialsconformwithdifferentindustry-specificlegalrequirements,suchasthoseoftheFDA(FoodandDrugAdministration),EU(Reg.)1935/2004andUSPClassVI.Thisiswhythematerialisnotonlyrecommendedforthefoodandbeveragebutalsoforthepharmaceuticalindustry.Duetoitsheatandweatheringresistance,EPDMisalsoapreferredmaterialfortheconstructionsector.Additionally,itiswidelyusedinwashingmachinesanddishwashersaswellasinplumbingfittings.Itisalsoavailableforproductsintheenergysector,suchascables,andthebuildingengineeringarea,e.g.foralotofwindowsealsinbuildings.
