French Riviera is pleased to announce two forthcoming solo exhibitions at the gallery by Jessica Warboys and Thomas Dozol. Jessica Warboys – TREMOLO – Lights Painting Sound. 15 September – 15 October 2017 Jessica Warboys lives and works between Suffolk and Berlin. This will be her first solo exhibition at French Riviera and will include new paintings, light sculptures and sound works. Jessica Warboys studied at Falmouth College of Arts and Slade School of Art, London. Her work was included in The British Art Show 8, Hayward Gallery Touring: Leeds, Edinburgh, Norwich, Southampton (2015-17); 9ª Bienal do Mercosul, Porto Alegre, Brazil (2013); dOCUMENTA 13, Kassel, Germany (2012). Recent solo exhibitions include Kunstverein, Amsterdam (2016), Casa Massaccio, San Giovanni Valdarno, Italy (2016), Kunsthall Stavanger, Norway (2016), Gaudel de Stampa, Paris (2015) State of Concept, Athens (2015). Warboys currently has a solo exhibition at Tate St Ives, Cornwall, UK, until September 2017. Thomas Dozol. 3 November – 3 December 2017 Thomas Dozol lives and works between New York and Berlin. This will be his second solo exhibition French Riviera and will combine portrait photography with geometric screen-printing in a new installation. Thomas Dozol studied in Paris and then moved to New York to pursue a career in the performing arts, as an actor. Following his first solo exhibition of intimate portraiture in 2008, his artistic practice has expanded to include screen prints and sculptural works, as well as more abstract photographic studies, through which he explores color and geometry in representations of the body Further information and images: mail@frenchriviera1988.com
