- It is my privilege to recommend to the brethren the ability, devotion, and faithfulness

The Freemans are going to Africaas a part of the Southern RhodesianMission. The purpose of this Missionis to co-ordinate efforts between theNew Testament churches in the UnitedStates and the Christian missionariesOverseas in the Rhodesias. It lendsa helping hand to these missionariesas needed. The missionary's connection with the mission will help him toenter Southern Rhodesia more easily. One person does not impress a government.

The Mission is composed of a boardof directors, the missionaries, and theirforwarding agents. All are membersof Churches of Christ or Christian'Churches. The board is composed ofvarious ministers and others from theUnited States. The president, secretary, and treasurer of the organizationall serve without pay. An annualmeeting is held each March; the board, missionaries, and forwarding agents ofmissionaries on the field all have voting power.

All matters of policy on the field arecontrolled by the missionaries whohave been on the field for over twoyears. The Freemans will be supervised by a veteran missionary as theybegin their work.

The Mission has power to acquireproperty and handle funds. The missionary's forwarding agent receivesall money for the missionary; LivingLink, Service Link, and Travel Funds.Living Link is then sent directly bythe forwarding agent to the mission

ary. Service Link funds, which areused for equipment and services otherthan living expense, are forwarded tothe treasurer of the Mission for accounting purposes. He transmits theService Link to the missionary. Travel Funds are for passage to Africa.Except for a small monthly amountfor the expense of the Rhodesian Story, postage, etc., all money directed to theFreemans will reach them on the field.
